Beroq 4 was a location[2] in the Beroq system within the Expansion Region's Baroli sector.[1] During the Imperial Era, it housed a fuel depot of the Galactic Empire.[2] By 4 ABY,[3] as part of the Alliance to Restore the Republic's war against the Empire, rebel pilot Lieutenant Shara Bey took part in the liberation of[2] the world[4] Gorma. Less than a week later, the lieutenant carried out a raid at the Beroq 4 fuel depot during Operation: Mynock Bite, earning Bey her triple ace status.[2]
Long after Bey's passing[2] in 10 ABY,[5] her son Poe Dameron began flying for the New Republic[2] in 30 ABY,[6] where Dameron learned of his mother's heroic acts during her service in the Alliance, including when she took part in the raid at Beroq 4.[2] In 31 ABY,[7] while carrying out a patrol in[2] the Outer Rim's[8] Mirrin sector, Dameron mentally reflected on his life and recalled learning about his mother's raid of the fuel depot at Beroq 4.[2]
Behind the scenes
Beroq 4 was mentioned in Before the Awakening, a junior anthology book written by Greg Rucka that was released in 2015[2] as a companion work to the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens[9] publishing program.[10]
