Benath[4] was a rocky[3] planet[5] that was the homeworld of the Benathy.[3] It was located in the Benath system in grid square I-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid, which was considered part of Wild Space[1] though it fell in the usual borders of the Mid Rim Territories. It was connected to the[4] planet[6] Ansion and the Utegetu Nebula by a hyperspace route.[4]
On Benath, the Benathy were ruled by a monarchy and worshiped a Zillo Beast as their god. The Galactic Empire's stormtroopers under Sith Lord Darth Vader were able to subdue the Benathy by killing their king, but could not defeat the Zillo Beast.[3]
The First Order's stormtroopers under Vader's grandson, Kylo Ren demanded that the current king, Kristoff end their expansion. Ren also demanded them to submit to the First Order. When Kristoff refused, Ren killed him. The Benathy fought Ren's forces until he defeated and killed the Zillo Beast. The Benathy bowed to Ren and chose to worship the First Order.[3]

Benath first appeared in Age of Resistance - Kylo Ren 1,[3] the ninth and final one-shot in the canon comic book anthology series Star Wars: Age of Resistance, released on September 25, 2019.[7]
