- "He's just returned from a border dispute on Ansion."
- ―Mace Windu, referring to Obi-Wan Kenobi
Ansion was a planet[5] located in the Ansion system, a star system located in the Churnis sector of the Mid Rim Territories[1] that was the junction[6] of the Namadii Corridor hyperspace route[2] and another route that ran from Keitum to the Rago system.[7]
A border dispute occurred on Ansion[4] during the Separatist Crisis, which, along with turmoil on the planet Ando, was enough to stagger the galaxy.[8]
Behind the scenes
Ansion first appeared in The Approaching Storm, a Star Wars Legends novel written by Alan Dean Foster as a tie-in to the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones[9] and released on January 29, 2002.[10] It became canon when it was mentioned in the aforementioned film.[4]

(In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
