The Belasco system was a star system located in the Belasco sector of the Expansion Region[4] and the Slice.[2] It lay in grid square O-11 on the Standard Galactic Grid and was connected via[4] the Ootmian Pabol[3] hyperspace route to the planet[5] Gyndine and the Mid Rim Territories astronomical object New Apsolon.[4]
Behind the scenes
Belasco was first depicted in the new Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 boxed set for Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[4] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Belasco was first mentioned in Jedi Apprentice: The Deadly Hunter, a 2000 novel authored by Jude Watson,[6] and later made its appearance in Jedi Apprentice: The Dangerous Rescue, a 2001 novel authored by the same person for the Jedi Apprentice novel series.[7]

Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
