In 3 BBY,[2] the Axis network dispatched Cassian Jeron Andor and Bix Caleen to assassinate Imperial doctor Gorst, whom they had learned was having his interrogation methods extended into a full program by Imperial Intelligence, convincing the Emperor he was too valuable to be left as a one-man Imperial Security Bureau asset.

With Gorst himself on Coruscant for the work, the Imperial Navy donated a facility on Coruscant to the ISB for the training, and Major Lio Partagaz assigned the work on the program to ISB Supervisors Heert and Lonni Jung, who was, unknown to all, an undercover agent for the Axis network. The network subsequently dispatched Caleen and Andor—who were living undercover on Corsucant—to take out Gorst. Gorst entered the interrogation room and was surprised by Bix, who strapped him to the same torture device she was strapped on two years prior. Not long after, Cassian destroyed his office with explosives.[1]

Prelude

By 5 BBY,[3] the Human Imperial Security Bureau doctor Gorst had developed a torturous interrogation method of using the dying screams of massacred Dizonites, which induced severe emotional distress on the victim.[4] That year, Gorst used the method on the Ferrixian Bix Caleen to draw information on her friend, Cassian Andor, from her, inducing lasting trauma in the process. Gorst savored in the torture and would appear in Bix's nightmares over the next two years.[3]

Partagaz assigned Heert and Jung to oversee the Gorst project.

In 3 BBY,[2] the ISB's cousin organization, Imperial Intelligence, convinced the Emperor that Gorst's interrogation methods were too valuable to be a single asset, and moved to expand it into a full program. With facilities donated by the Imperial Navy, Gorst himself was present on the Imperial capital world of Coruscant for the work. Knowledge reached ISB major Lio Partagaz, who assigned the project to ISB Supervisors Heert and Lonni Jung, who was, unknown to all, an undercover agent for the Axis network.[1]

The Axis network subsequently dispatched Caleen and Andor-who were living in an Axis safehouse on Coruscant after fleeing Ferrix and later Mina-Rau-to assassinate Gorst.

The assassination

On one of the nights of Senate Investiture Week, the two operatives carried out the operation. A cloaked Bix entered the building Gorst had established his office and torture device in, hiding in the shadows of the room and waiting for Gorst's arrival. On his way back to his office after getting himself a sweet treat, Gorst entered the interrogation room and was surprised by Bix, who strapped him to the same torture device she was strapped on two years prior. Gorst recognized Bix, but was unsure from where, and began struggling in fear as Bix strapped him to the torture chair and fitted the device around his head.

After activating the machine, she told Gorst that the torture would only feel like forever and left the office as the Dizonite screams filled Gorst's ears, causing him to scream and thrash about violently in his restraints. On the way out of the building, Bix was confronted by an Imperial security guard, who informed her nobody was allowed in the building, but was shot by Bix only a moment later. Outside the building, Bix met up with Cassian, who remotely detonated explosives in Gorst's office, putting him out of his misery and destroying his work as they walked away from the scene.[1]
