The Axis network safehouse was an apartment on the planet Coruscant was used by Luthen Rael's Axis network. It was located on Level 5124, Plate seven grid, 3561 East.^[2] A secure high-rise apartment, the safehouse was used by rebels to lay low while in between missions. The safehouse had a kitchen, which included large windows allowing for a panoramic view of the Coruscant skyline, a bedroom, and a dining area. The space was overall sparse and bare and at times dark and dingy.^[3] Rael stayed in the safehouse on two occasions. In 3 BBY, the rebels Cassian Jeron Andor and Bix Caleen used the safehouse.^[1]

In 2 BBY, Senator Mon Mothma was taken to the safehouse to hide after her escape from the Senate following her public speech condemning Emperor Palpatine for the Ghorman Massacre. Wilmon Paak and Dreena also took shelter in the safehouse after fleeing the Ghorman Massacre.^[4]

In 1 BBY, the safehouse had been stripped bare, with several wall panels missing and the floor suffering from water damage. Following Rael's capture by Dedra Meero, Kleya Marki retrieved a bag of equipment from a hidden compartment in the ceiling before setting off for Lina Soh Hospital to prevent Rael from being revived and subsequently interrogated by the ISB.^[5]

Once her mission was a success, Marki returned to the safehouse, where she broke open a wall to retrieve a fractal radio and plugged it into the building's power grid in order to send a coded distress signal to Yavin 4 for immediate extraction. Her call was answered by Andor, who signaled back, unaware that the ISB, who had taken control of Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest was intercepting their communications, enabling ISB Supervisor Heert to locate the safehouse.^[6]

When Andor and Ruescott Melshi arrived at the safehouse, Marki informed them of Rael's death before desperately trying to recall all she knew of Emperor Palpatine's energy project. And argument ensued between Marki and Andor over Rael's decision to stay on Coruscant, especially with Marki reluctant to leave for Yavin. While they were distracted, Heert's Tactical team had arrived at Tomkip Towers and began triangulating the safehouse's position.^[6] A blaster fight soon broke out between the rebels and ISB, which soon ended when K-2SO ambushed the Imperials from behind. The rebels then departed the safehouse and fled Coruscant before Imperial reinforcements arrived.^[7]
