The Alsaka sector was a sector in the Core Worlds of the galaxy. It contained the Alsakan and Opatajji systems which were situated in grid square L-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Alsaka sector was first mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[4]

In Star Wars Legends it was first mentioned in Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion, a series of articles on StarWars.com published in the wake of the release of the Star Wars Legends reference book The Essential Atlas in 2009 by its authors Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[5]
