The Alsakan system was a star system located in the Alsaka sector of the Core Worlds[1] and the Interior[2] in the galaxy. The system was situated in grid square L-9 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained the terrestrial[5] planet Alsakan[1], one of the Galactic Empire greatest supporters.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Alsakan system was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[6] In Star Wars Legends it was first mentioned in the reference book The Essential Atlas in 2009 by its authors Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace.[7]
