Alex Wheeler is the author of Star Wars: Rebel Force, a series of six young readers novels published between 2008 and 2010 by Scholastic Inc., with book covers illustrated by Randy Martinez. Set in the aftermath of the events of the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, Rebel Force focuses on the films protagonists—Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, Han Solo, and is one of the few Star Wars Legends novels set during the timeframe of the original trilogy that draws knowledge from the prequel trilogy films, which concluded in 2005.[1]
The novels also expand on story threads from the works of Jude Watson, another Star Wars young readers author. In particular, the characters Ferus Olin and Lune Oddo Divinian from the Jedi Quest and Star Wars: The Last of the Jedi series of novels[1] were incorporated as major point-of-view characters.[2] Despite these connections, Alex Wheeler and Jude Watson are separate individuals.[3]
