Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

An Evereni male lived during the High Republic Era.[2] Around 402 BBY,[3] they and an Evereni female sired an Evereni daughter named Yana Ro.[2] Between around 397 BBY and 387 BBY,[1] when Yana was very young,[4] the three lived on[2] the Expansion Region[5] planet[6] Genetia with Yana's cousin Marda Ro, her mother and sire, as well as the cousin's grandparents.[2]

During this time,[1] the family was attacked by townspeople who believed them to be the case for failing crops, resulting in the deaths of Yana's sire and the grandparents. The girls and their mothers managed to escape because Marda's sire had viciously fought to ensure they could.[2] In 382 BBY,[1] when Yana and Marda were members of the Path of the Open Hand cult on the Outer Rim planet Dalna, Yana mentally recalled her sire's death when she considered how the Path's Children—a group who obtained Force artifacts for the Path's leader[2] Elecia Zeveron[4]—had come to the Path.[2]

Behind the scenes

Yana Ro's sire was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase II.[7] Within the novel, the sire was mentioned in a chapter written by Ireland.[8]

The novel also establishes that Yana Ro had been considering leaving the Path for five years, meaning she must have been a member of the Path by 387 BBY. Therefore, the attack on the Ro family, including the death of Yana Ro's sire, must have taken place between 397 BBY and 387 BBY.
