"'Batuu: home to ancient ruins and giant petrified black trees.' 'Umme: galaxy-class hunting.' 'Yakorki: wide selection of edible wild fungi.' 'Mokivj: ten moons, beautiful sunsets.' 'Plood: majestic seascapes.' It's like they pulled these out of travel brochures."
―Anakin Skywalker, to Thrawn — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[3]

Yakorki was a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories, situated on a hyperspace route between the planets Mokivj and Umme. The planet possessed a wide selection of edible fungi, and as such was host to the annual Fungi Fest, attracting thousands of visitors to Yakorki every cycle. Yakorki's own exports were limited, so travelers were required to visit the planet if they wished to experience its delicacies. One such item was a mushroom sauce served with the dish known as Ithorian Garden Loaf on the nearby world Batuu.[1]

In 19 BBY,[4] the Separatist Alliance freighter Larkrer, bound for Mokivj, included Yakorki in its datafiles, among several other locations on the route between Batuu and the[3] planet[1] Cermau. When investigating the freighter's datafiles, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and Chiss Ascendancy[3] Senior Captain[5] Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn" deduced its true location, disregarding Yakorki. Skywalker considered the descriptions of the locations in the datafiles similar to that of a travel brochure.[3] The author and historian Eloc Throno listed Yakorki as a destination that could be visited with a short flight from Batuu in his book Traveler's Guide to Batuu.[1]

Behind the scenes

Yakorki was first mentioned in the 2018 novel Thrawn: Alliances, written by Timothy Zahn.[3] The 2020 reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, written by Cole Horton, misspells its name as "Yakork" in all instances outside of the map where it is pictured.[1]
