- "He's out looking for one of my farm animals. A burowga."
- ―Weebo about Ansen Strung, after a burowga of hers wandered away from her farm
The farm of the Rodian farmer Weebo was located on the planet Tenoo. Around 232 BBY, Weebo harvested her farm's jellyfruit but it was stolen by pirates led by Taborr Val Dorn. However, the pilot Nash Durango and Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs eventually recovered the goods. Another time around that year, one burowga went missing from the farm, prompting Weebo to hire the bounty hunter Ansen Strung to retrieve her. With the help of Brightstar, Solay, Nubs, and Strung's sibling, Senna Strung, Ansen safely returned the burowga to the farm. At another point, with the younglings' help, he captured Weebo's grandson's faloen hopper and promised Weebo he would bring it back to her farm.
Description
The Rodian farmer Weebo operated a farm on the planet Tenoo. The farm had a rounded building in the middle, a stone pathway, and was surrounded by a fence. Rows of farmland for planting lined both sides of the stone pathway, which were used to grow jellyfruit trees.[1] At times, the fence on the left side was covered in a mud pile for burowga farming animals.[2]
History
- "Hey, Weebo. How's tonight's jellyfruit shipment coming?"
"It ain't coming, Hap. It's going. A group of pirates just left with it." - ―Restaurant owner Hap and Weebo
During the High Republic Era, Weebo grew jellyfruit trees on her farm, assisted by her grandson,[1] by using burowgas to prepare the ground for seeding.[2] Around 233 BBY,[3] the two Rodians had just finished harvesting the jellyfruit crop for Tenoo's Jellyfruit Festival when a gang of pirates led by Taborr Val Dorn flew in, stole the entire crate of fruit, and took off to sell them. Ultimately, the pilot Nash Durango and Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and Nubs were able to find the pirates and bring the jellyfruit back for the festival.[1]
Burowgas at Weebo's farm
Later, around the same year,[4] one of Weebo's burowgas wandered away from her farm. Weebo hired the bounty hunter Ansen Strung to retrieve the animal for her, though he lost contact with the farmer not long after taking the job. While at her farm, Weebo met the three younglings and Ansen's sibling, Senna Strung. The farmer told them about Ansen's work for her, noting that she had not been able to contact him, but needed her missing burowga back soon for seeding season. Later, the group managed to find Ansen and return Weebo's burowga to her farm. After being released from her cage, the burowga happily began rolling in the pile of mud near the farm with two other burowgas.[2]
At another point, Ansen was tasked with tracking down a faloen hopper owned by Weebo's grandson. With the help of Brightstar, Solay, and Nubs, the bounty hunter managed to catch the creature in a trap. Afterward, he contacted Weebo and promised to bring the faloen hopper by her farm when he next had an opportunity.[5]
Behind the scenes
Weebo's farm first appeared in "The Jellyfruit Pursuit," the first part of the fifth episode in the first season of the animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures.[1] The episode was released on May 4, 2023.[6] Wild Canary artist Aaron Cobb created a piece of concept artwork for the farm.[7]
