Burowga

Burowgas were farm animals that loved to dig and burrow. They were playful and curious creatures by nature. Farmers utilized the animal's love for digging to help get soil ready for planting seeds.^[1]

The Rodian farmer Weebo used burowgas on her farm on the planet Tenoo. Due to the animal's curious nature, one of her burowgas went missing so she hired bounty hunter Ansen Strung to locate the animal.^[1]

Behind the scenes

The burowgas first appeared in "Big Brother's Bounty," the second part of the thirteenth episode of the Disney+ and Disney Junior animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures' first season,^[1] which aired on August 2, 2023.^[2] The subtitles provided on Disney+ for "Big Brother's Bounty," consistently capitalized the word burowga.^[3] However, the 2024 reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia: The Comprehensive Guide to the Star Wars Galaxy decapitalizes the creatures' name in one instance.^[4] This article assumes the decapitalization form to be correct as the subtitles had shown inconsistencies in the past and that the reference book is a more recent source to have come out.
