A war cruiser was a capital ship classification.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] when a spice dealer was trapped in the Nihil marauders' Occlusion Zone, the Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro commandeered their war cruiser, the Glitterstim Shine, with its original owner losing their life when they disagreed. After Ro gifted it to the Nihil's Minister of Protection Abediah Viess as her third flagship, she renamed it the Auberge and had modifications made to it.[3]
War cruisers were also used by the Kilji Illumine, the nation Kilji species' nation. The Kilji war cruisers were equipped with engines, escape pods, electrostatic barriers for protection, and a hyperdrive. Their armament included spectrum lasers and missiles, and they were longer than the Illumine's Kilji picket cruisers and three or four times smaller than a Grysk Shatter-class WarMaster warship.[1] In 18 BBY,[4] the Kiljis' nation's ruler, Generalirius Nakirre, and Illumine General Crofyp commanded the Kilji war cruisers Whetstone and Anvil—the latter being Crofyp's task force's flagship—respectively.[1]
