This species was a sentient species that existed in the galaxy.[2] Senator Veedaaz Awmetth was a member of this species.[1]

Biology and appearance

This humanoid species was distinguished primarily by their textured, fleshy red skin, large craniums, and sharp teeth.[1]

Species in the galaxy

In 19 BBY,[3] a member of this species, Veedaaz Awmetth, was among those who attended Padmé Amidala's funeral on Amidala's homeworld, the planet Naboo.[1]

Behind the scenes

This species was first appeared intended to appear the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, directed by George Lucas, but ultimately did not make the final cut of the film.[2] Their first official canon appearance was instead in the The Topps Company, Inc. Star Wars: Card Trader app.[4]

In the 2015 non-canon video game Disney Infinity 3.0, Veedaaz Awmetth was identifed as a Sarrish diplomat.[5] Despite the game being non-canon, story group member Pablo Hidalgo confirmed on Twitter that the names provided by the game for previously unidentified characters were considered canon.[6] However, it is unknown if the designation referred to Awmetth's species.
