Vambrace armor

Vambrace armor was a type of specialist stormtrooper armor with a synth-fur lined kama worn by the Galactic Empire's range troopers. The armor's helmet had larger tougher components that were easier to repair by hand compared to the delicate miniaturization found in standard trooper gear. The armor also had an integrated interface control on the wrist for the gription boots worn by range troopers, which were connected to the armor by a servomotor brace connection point.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Vambrace armor appear in the 2018 film Solo: A Star Wars Story.^[3]

The magnetic effect of the armor's boots was achieved by the filmmakers using a complicated wire rig for the actors' feet.^[5]

The Legends video game Star Wars: The Old Republic created an in-universe armor set named "Arctic Trooper Armor" based on the Canon vambrace armor.^[6]
