Vaced was a terrestrial astronomical object[3] located in the Vaced system within the Jalor sector of the Mid Rim[1] and New Territories.[2] It was situated in grid square J-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

At some point between 32 BBY and 22 BBY,[4] Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, visited Vaced. The two encountered a Moggonite bounty hunter there, and Skywalker saved Kenobi's life. Later, during a mission to the planet Cato Neimoidia after Skywalker had become a Knight himself, he brought up the incident on Vaced while telling Kenobi he intended to start tracking how many times he had saved the Jedi Master.[3]

Vaced was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the 2022 novel Brotherhood, written by Mike Chen.[3] When asked about the inclusion of Vaced and the Moggonite species in Brotherhood, Chen indicated that it was a reference to[5] the Moggonite hybrid[6] Gizman from the Star Wars Legends continuity.[5] In Legends, Gizman interacted with Jedi Nuru Kungurama on the planet Vaced during the Clone Wars in Duel at Shattered Rock, the third volume of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Secret Missions young readers' series, written by Ryder Windham, illustrated by Wayne Lo, and published in 2011.[7] Vaced's first appearance in the 2008 novel Millennium Falcon, written by James Luceno,[8] while Duel at Shattered Rock marked its first visual depiction.[7]
