Mike Chen is an author who has written multiple works in the Star Wars canon. Chen's first entry to Star Wars writing was with the short story "Disturbance," which was published in the 2020 anthology book From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back,[1] featuring the character Darth Sidious.[2] He then went on to write the 2022 novel Brotherhood, which focused on Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars.[3] Chen wrote another short story titled "Brotherhood," telling a story featuring Anakin Skywalker, which appeared in the 2023 anthology book From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi.[4]

After he was announced to have written a story for Star Wars, he voiced his excitement on Twitter that an article had been written of him on Wookieepedia, though he noted that he had originally been confused for the identically named Star Wars illustrator Mike Chen.[5]
