Mid Rim Lending Network

Please verify Your article Mid Rim Lending Network currently isn't attributed to a reliable source. Please familiarize yourself with Wookieepedia's Sourcing policy and guidelines and add a proper source to the article. If a source is not added within one week, your article will be deleted. CC7567 (talk) 21:28, November 19, 2011 (UTC)

Sourcing

Please read Wookieepedia's sourcing policy. The Network is not directly mentioned in Episode II, so stating that it appeared in Episode II is not sufficient. You need to source the article with the source that states that the Network appears in Episode II. Thank you. --Jinzler 20:12, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

Rattataki‎‎

Sadly, TCW retconned and changed Ventress' specie. She is no longer a Rattataki‎‎, per higher TCW's higher canon status than C. JangFett (Talk) 16:56, February 3, 2012 (UTC)

Sourcing, again

Please stop removing the "Verify" tag from the Mid Rim Lending Network until the article is sourced to a verifable source. The sources that you have added to the article are not verifiable sources; you need to source the article to an official Star Wars source, as is explained in Wookieepedia:Sourcing. --Jinzler 17:39, February 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • Let me reiterate this, please stop removing the Verify tag until you can provide proper sources as detailed in the link given above. Further removal of the template will be treated as vandalism and can warrant a block. —NAYAYEN 18:18, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
    • No, you have added 3 links to sites that are not reliable sources. Please source the article to the actual piece of Star Wars material that it appeared in; this is how sourcing works. —NAYAYEN 18:24, February 5, 2012 (UTC)

Copyright violation

Do NOT copy text verbatim from other sites. Any such additions will be removed, and you will be blocked from editing. Thank you. 1358 (Talk) 18:42, February 5, 2012 (UTC)

Unverified info

Thank you for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added unverified information to a mainspace article. Additions to Wookieepedia's articles must be verifiable by a reliable source per our sourcing policy, and unverified information may be reverted or deleted. Continuing to add unverified information may lead to you being blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 04:08, February 7, 2012 (UTC)

  • Please adhere to the warning above. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 17:06, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
    • Your infobox additions. The infobox currently lists only confirmed/mentioned articles, not "insert your own here." JangFett (Talk) 17:11, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
      • Yes, but that does not mean he's a "notable/famous" member. The ones that are listed are confirmed to be one, but I'm too sure about some of them. If you have a source that does say this Lee-char is a notable member, then please source it, otherwise he's already listed in the list of Mon Calamari people in the article. JangFett (Talk) 17:46, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
        • We cannot assume based on our own assumptions. Unless a source states otherwise, it's considered to be speculation. JangFett (Talk) 17:52, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
          • If you're talking about TCW, that is a source, but it did not claim that he is a famous member. Again, you cannot add speculation into articles. Doing so will result in your work being reverted, and, if it persists, a block by an administrator. Please familiarize yourself with our policies before continuing to edit. JangFett (Talk) 17:57, February 11, 2012 (UTC)
            • Yes, I mean no hard feelings or trying to discourage you from editing, but saying you will speculate or ignore various policies by stating "it's silly" is unsettling. Please see WP:ATT and WP:S. JangFett (Talk) 18:04, February 11, 2012 (UTC)

Crash-landing on Geonosis‎

Please don't remove the "Delete" tag from the Crash-landing on Geonosis‎ article. The Second Battle of Geonosis already covers this subject, so the article is not needed. Thank you. --Jinzler 17:49, February 13, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Image

I'm not really sure what problem you are encountering without more information. You may want to try reading Wookieepedia:Guide to image use as well as double checking the instructions on the upload file page itself and ensuring all your fields are correctly filled out. Coruscantfan (Talk) 18:29, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with that. I would contact one of the site administrators and see if they can figure it out for you. Here's the list of administrators. Coruscantfan (Talk) 00:33, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Image uploads

Hello, you need a verified email address to upload files. You can do this in Special:Preferences. Also, please make sure to name your better with a name that is more descriptive than "Screen shot 2011-09-09 at 7 07 19 AM.png". Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 14:06, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Please take a look at this link to make sure you know what the file description page should look like. Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 14:35, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • Can you tell me where you got :File:Grievous VS Ventress at Dathomir - Massacre.png‎ from? http://starwarscanada.com which you listed as source gives me a 404. Thanks. 1358 (Talk) 19:11, February 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • Since I'm up, I took a peek at the log and Darth Culator had deleted your image. Trak Nar Ramble on 08:15, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

Linking

Just to let you know, this is not how to properly link. If you're going to link something, albeit want to lowercase it, you can simply do carbonite, without having to pipelink it as carbonite. This goes with Luke Skywalker's as well, which is incorrect. The only time you could pipelink is when you're linking to conjectural titled articles or putting a word, such as "s," within the double brackets. For the conjectural example: Battle of Bomis Koori IV cannot be linked to that, but rather a battle. For the "s," if there's more than two Imperial-class Star Destroyers, this needs to be Imperial-class Star Destroyers (notice the "s" is within the double bracket.) Hope this helps. JangFett (Talk) 17:40, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • It's not properly formatted. My examples above should help you in the future. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. JangFett (Talk) 22:14, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

Image template

Please only add the "Image" template to articles for which an image actually exists in canon. You recently added the template to both the Darkstaff and Skirmish in the Cularin system asteroid belt articles, yet images for neither of these things exist. Therefore, adding the template to these two articles was unnecessary and unhelpful, so please bear this in mind in the future. Thank you. --Jinzler 22:55, February 15, 2012 (UTC)

Amor infobox

We have an Armor infobox specifically for armors. Hope that helps. - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 14:20, February 16, 2012 (UTC)

TCW episodes

Please do not change "is scheduled to air" to "aired," as you did here, because in the United States alone, the episode did not air yet. Please wait until tonight or at least midnight before actually changing it. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 14:47, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

  • I understand that it's the 9th. However, the episode itself did not air yet. JangFett (Talk) 15:07, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
    • We're an English wiki, and per precedent, we go by the timezones of the US. JangFett (Talk) 15:37, March 9, 2012 (UTC)
      • To clarify: Wookieepedia is in UTC but we tend to list airdates and such (including spoiler periods) according to US release dates. 1358 (Talk) 15:42, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Licensing tags

Please do not select obviously inappropriate licensing tags when uploading images. Images from The Clone Wars episodes should use TV-screenshot, not CopyrightedFreeUse as the images have not been released as such. Please also make sure to crop any letterboxes and the like from images before uploading; jpegcrop is a good program for doing so without degrading image quality. Thanks, nayayen★talk 20:22, March 13, 2012 (UTC)

Savage

Please note the Wip tag listed on top of the Savage Opress article. Your amount of little edits are going against the tag and will only create issues and edit conflicts for CC7567, who is currently writing the article. If you see issues in the article that need to be taken care of, I would recommend that you talk to him on his talk page or the article's talk page. The article is still undergoing major edits and is not complete. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 13:21, March 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • While I am not here to argue, I have to say that you did edit in the main article many times, most of which have been reverted by either me, CC, or someone else, and you began a minor edit war. If you take a look at the history section of the article, CC7567 is still working on the article. Making minor edits during a certain time period when he's not editing in the article could work, but then again we're not sure if he's working on it. This happens to me many times and people assume I'm not working on an article, but I am. Avoiding edit conflicts is ideal. Talk pages come in handy here and you could use them. Until the template is taken down, I would avoid making edits to the article. JangFett (Talk) 13:45, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
    • Editing articles is about quality work, not quantity or how fast you can write. Give it time and please have patience. JangFett (Talk) 14:24, March 17, 2012 (UTC)
      • Again, please respect the tag. JangFett (Talk) 13:56, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

It gets worse..

Well, now I can't revert the edits to the bullshit article about the Force being Superman. Now, I have to "request" it to an admin... wonderful. I really hope this is some stupid April fool's joke, because I want Wookieepedia back. It used to be a very reliable source for me and my friends to look up star wars stuff. Now it turned into a stupid piece of crap and I guess there is not stopping it. Are you an admin by the way? It would have really helped... Unsigned comment by Infamousstarwarsfan (talk • contribs)

Hi Venom. When you get the chance, could you please remove the CC7567 from your user page? It currently makes your page title my user name. Thank you. CC7567 (talk) 21:53, April 2, 2012 (UTC)

Hy. Well I use a pretty simple program called Screenshot-Captor. You can find it at http://screenshot-captor.en.softonic.com TheMasterMind 07:06, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

Resizing

Please don't resize the infobox images which are too low resolution, or which have a large height, as they tend to look really bad especially when the actual article is too small. Thanks, TheMasterMind 14:00, June 17, 2012 (UTC)

Re:

Why thank you very much. I have one more episode in the fourth season, and then I'll see if I can find a good quality download link for the first two season. When the fifth season comes out I'll do that one as well. Thanks for the encouragement. TheMasterMind 12:44, June 18, 2012 (UTC)

Images

Yeah, I've noticed that as well, and on multiple articles. I tried to reupload some but it said the images were already on the site. Idk, it may have something to do with Wikia. TheMasterMind (talk) 10:46, June 26, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Savage Opress's body armor

What? 1358 (Talk) 12:52, September 29, 2012 (UTC)

  • I'm not sure how you interpreted that I deleted the page for no reason, but anyway, there was a reason behind it. When the page was initially created, it was nominated for speedy deletion, but seeing as someone (it might've been you) disagreed with it, the speedy deletion template was swapped for a contested CSD template instead. After a discussion on the talk page of the relevant article, the subject was deemed to be unnotable and as such, the page was deleted. The main reasoning behind this deletion was that there is no need for a separate article on Opress' armor, seeing as it all can be written down in Opress' own article—for example, in an "Equipment" section. Now, I'd like to see your tone a little bit more friendly and instead of assuming my intentions, you could've politely asked me why said page was deleted. Regards, 1358 (Talk) 19:58, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
    • If it bothers you, I can restore the page and put it up in the Trash compactor and see what the rest of the userbase thinks. 1358 (Talk) 20:16, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

"Bazookaman"

Thank you for creating the Weequay article. Please keep in mind that terms like "Bazookaman" are not canon (and therefore fanon) unless an official source does call them thus. The article has been moved/retitled to an appropriate name, so you don't need to worry about fixing it. —GethralkinHyperwave 03:53, October 11, 2012 (UTC)

  • The linked pages appear to have the correct redirects attached. I did remove "bazooka" from the text remark in the link on the Revival page, though, so that one's fixed now. —GethralkinHyperwave 16:50, October 11, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Production order

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Are you looking for where to find the production order of the series' episodes? If so, the production numbers are cited on all of the season articles (as well as the episode articles themselves), and they're always printed somewhere in the guides on StarWars.com, usually under concept art. CC7567 (talk) 15:55, October 30, 2012 (UTC)

  • Oh, you must be looking for this then. Hope that helps. CC7567 (talk) 16:06, October 30, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Season Five

Hi! Nice to hear from you again. Unfortunately I was a bit busy these past months, but now I'm thinking about going back to editing on the wiki. Unfortunately, I haven't downloaded the fifth season yet, and I'm thinking of waiting until all of the episodes are out to download the complete package before I start editing. I also have a couple of episodes from season one that I need to finish first. When all of the episodes from season five will be released, I'll gladly help. -TheMasterMind (talk) 19:29, November 2, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Infobox

You should be able to access all of them from Category:Infobox templates. Hope that helps. CC7567 (talk) 18:37, November 4, 2012 (UTC)

Doan and an image

First, thank you for verifying Doan (sun). Can you tell me what entry it's listed under? There are almost certainly more appearances/sources that just the ERC alone. Second, I want to draw your attention to :File:TerrenceCarson.jpg. Simply listing "imdb.com" as a source is not sufficient; you need to give the full URL of the exact page you found the image on. Please correct that ASAP. Thank you. —MJ— War Room 19:31, November 15, 2012 (UTC)

Re: TCW Season Five

Thanks for pointing that out. However, the thing with IMDB is that it's not officially licensed with Lucasfilm Ltd. or Cartoon Network, which is what an official source would be for information on upcoming episodes. The information there is likely to be true, but we can't assume that it is because it's not an official source. Hope that clarifies it. CC7567 (talk) 19:09, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

  • A user's talk page is entirely his/her responsibility—you'll have to archive messages yourself on a subpage/subpages as you see fit. CC7567 (talk) 19:24, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
    • Nothing will delete itself from your talk page; you need to manually create a subpage (say, User talk:XXLVenom998/Archive1) and copy-and-paste all of the text there. You can look at the source code for my archived talk to get a better idea; you can also look at any number of other users on the site who have archived their own talk pages. The requirements for adminship are listed on the WP:RFU page. CC7567 (talk) 19:37, November 26, 2012 (UTC)
      • Sorry, I just saw your message on my talk page. I am inclined to agree with what CC said. JangFett (Talk) 17:24, November 29, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Signature

Basically what you do is format your link in HTML, i.e. changing the font color with "<span>," bolding it, etc. You can look up how to use some simple text-related HTML codes basically anywhere on the Internet. Then you take the code and enter it under "Custom signature" in Special:Preferences. Please note that all signatures need to follow WP:SIG. Regarding the error that you're encountering: to be honest, it's probably because you're using the Oasis skin, though I'm not sure. Monobook would be the preferable skin to use for editing; it's what most users use on the site. Try using Monobook a bit and see if the problem persists. If it does, you can contact an admin like Grunny who's more tech-savvy to see what the problem might be. CC7567 (talk) 08:01, November 30, 2012 (UTC)

Re:

That's how the page formats all of the templates; it is unnecessary to change it. If you have any questions regarding categories or anything else to do with wiki editing, you should first look here: Help:Contents. Also, the site that you linked is a website that posts episode recordings that aren't licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd., which means that it's illegal, in addition to not being a reliable source. CC7567 (talk) 20:12, December 4, 2012 (UTC)

  • The URL sources for the images are specified on almost all of the file pages. CC7567 (talk) 20:23, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
    • You need to create something like Category:Super tactical droids and then place it within another category to make sure that it gets integrated into the site's categorizing system. See Category:Tactical droids as an example. CC7567 (talk) 20:36, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
      • Done. CC7567 (talk) 20:43, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
        • No problem. We're administrators, though—just FYI. :P I'm currently moving the "Tactical droids" category to "T-series tactical droids" (proper name) category, which is why it's being repopulated. CC7567 (talk) 20:47, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
          • It would be a great help if you could take some time to do it, since I'm working on other projects at the moment. CC7567 (talk) 21:01, December 4, 2012 (UTC)
            • It isn't possible for an article to be "lost" in any sense of the word. The article in question was Trash compacted and deleted. CC7567 (talk) 18:40, December 7, 2012 (UTC)

CSD tagging

Please do not add CSD tags to articles unless there is a valid reason. Saying that an article needs to be deleted because it is "Pure idiotism" is not a valid reason. The fact that that article is idiotic is your opinion. Others may not think so. There are many things in Star Wars that I consider to be [Redacted by administration], but I can't just delete them because of that. If something has an official source and warrants an article, it has to have one, no matter how [Redacted by administration] it is or isn't. Thank you for your cooperation.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 14:54, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

  • To answer the problems you presented: First, an article is not required to have something under the "Sources" field provided that it has an appearance. They both serve the same purpose. The only difference is that they are from a different type of media. Second, your armor article was not deleted by the unilateral decision of an admin, nor was it deleted by a consensus among the admins. It was deleted because the Wookieepedia community voted it to be deleted. Third, if you aded your fanon, it would be deleted in "20 seconds." Gungan Style is from an official product. It's not from a fan made source. Thus, it is kept. Fourth, there are many, many articles on Wookieepedia that are "sillier" than Gungan Sryle. They are kept because Wookieepedia is here to be a comprehensive site. It's not something we pick and choose. Fifth, we are not "moderators." We are administrators. It is getting kind of annoying hearing you not use the correct term. Hope that helps clear up the misunderstanding you seem to have. Cheers.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 19:08, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Category edits

If you are going to be adding a single category to articles in such large quantities, please mark them as minor edits so that they do not clog up the Recent Changes Feed. If you do not want to mark them every time, there is an option in Preferences to change your edits to minor by default. Thank you. Cade Calrayn GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit 16:15, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • Hey XXLVenom, please be sure to organize categories in alphabetical order. So would go before anything else, if there isn't numbers, A, B, C lettered categories. Take a look at your edits here and notably here. Thanks, JangFett (Talk) 16:28, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
    • No problem. Always remember to check the other categories too. So if you see another category out of place, you could always correct it as well. :) JangFett (Talk) 16:33, December 15, 2012 (UTC)
      • Yeah, you have improved a lot since you first joined. Doing minor edits like that helps a lot. It's correct formatting and it makes editing easier for others in the future. JangFett (Talk) 16:42, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Source

I haven't disputed the fact that IMDB may be correct, but it can't be treated as official on its own. That's why we had to wait for CN's press release to confirm the airtime and other new information. CC7567 (talk) 02:05, December 17, 2012 (UTC)

  • It appears fine to me. CC7567 (talk) 18:37, December 17, 2012 (UTC)

Re: Category

Probably not. One can be created if there's more than one page that could use the category. CC7567 (talk) 17:13, December 23, 2012 (UTC)

Gungan Style

Yes, I'm serious. You can't just decide that a page is non-canon because you don't like it. You've already demonstrated your dislike for this page by calling for its deletion due to "pure idiotism"; please don't continue your vendetta against it. Leave it be. Menkooroo (talk) 15:28, December 24, 2012 (UTC)

Templating

Hey Venom. Technically they were, but having all that much was unnecessary. Just a Cleanup would've sufficed. In this case, given that it wasn't even sourced, I'd say Verify has precedence, because if it's fanon it's pointless to even try to wookify the article. Cheers.
