Lok Durd

I've noticed you recent editing on the Lok Durd page, and I have to say, thanks man. I was editing the page from memory because I couldn't find Defenders of Peace on the web, and obviously, I wasn't 100% correct. Looking back on it, it probably wasn't the smartest of ideas. I also have to thank you for fixing the grammar I missed and uploading that awesome image of Lok in the AAT. :-) I was considering nominating Lok for FA status, but if you want to nominate him yourself, feel free too. You have, admittedly, a better track record than I on this site, and you might gain more support because of this. I will support your nomination as soon as I can.

    • All the information is there, and written very well. Only three suggestions:
  1. Add in info about Anakin meeting with Padme right before the attack in "prelude" or the very beginning of "The mission"
  2. Remove one or two section headers and merge them with other sections. Small sections look less neat then slightly meatier ones.
  3. Remove/replace the "The bounty hunters surround the Senators" image, as it's already in the info box.

Cad Bane

Hey there, I don't know how I bypassed getting an edit conflict. When I clicked the edit button, the GAN template was not at the top of the page. Anyhow, an objection I would have raised on the GAN entry would have been that the page was too image heavy. I lightened the load by two images. Take a look. Reviewing

Hey CC7567. I noticed your review for Separatist Council on the GAN page, and I had one small item that I wanted to bring to your attention. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but there is an unofficial {{sofixit}} clause that most reviewers follow. Basically, it means that if you find something minor that needs to be fixed, and you can reasonably fix it yourself quickly, you should simply do that. This was really brought into effect to prevent people from leaving minor objections. I know that many reviewers, including myself, always have the article in edit mode when reviewing just for this purpose. Yes, part of being a good nominator is noticing these mistakes yourself, but part of being a good reviewer is noticing the mistakes that people overlook :P Since you have become more of an active reviewer on the GAN page, I wanted to give you this piece of advice. Cad Bane context

Hey CC. I am going to review Bane in the next day or two, and after skimming through the article I saw that in some cases there was, in fact, way too much context added. To me it makes the article clunky and unwieldy to read. I know that I recently told you that most reviewers edit an article as they read, and that I am no different. In regards the unneeded context, I saw that at times all that would be needed is to shorten a sentence without rewriting it -- something I would consider a fairly simple fix. However, it is not my intention to rewrite the article for you, so I have a question/proposition for you: 1) I can remove some of the extra context that doesn't require a rewrite, and then leave you a message on your talk page as to why I did so. Of course, any removal of context that would require a rewrite, I would leave as an objection, in addition to any other objections; 2) I would only fix minor grammar and other somesuch details as I usually do, and leave absolutely all context removal in the form of objections on the GAN page. The reason I am asking you to choose is because I feel that part of my responsibility is to help you write a better article, and I do not want to go and make major changes without you being aware of the reasoning. I know that I learn something new every time I nominate or review an article. I hope that this message doesn't sound too pretentious; I simply would like to avoid any misunderstandings since the Cad Bane article has already been the subject of some tension. Image use in articles

You've been doing some great work on articles of late. One thing I'm noticing regularly though is you're making them very image heavy. The standard pretty much agreed upon around here is 1 image for every 3 paragraphs (approximately). Take the Duel in the Christophsis CIS base article for instance. You have 8 images in the main article body. That honestly should be cut down to 4, maybe 5 images at the most based on the size of the article. Just something to think about. Hey, CC7567. Great to hear your starting a WookieeProject! I thought it was inevitable by the amount of TCW noms on the GAN :P. As far as I know you don't need to put in a request you just make the project page and get to work organizing and recruiting members. Just take a look at current similar projects like WP:LE, WP:AMB, WP:KOTOR, and WP:TOTJ, for ideas on things to do, though looking at your subpage you seem to be well on your way :-).   • Hey CC7567. I noticed that you have started putting up the talkpage notices and I wanted to give you a piece of advice. Before you decide that an article falls under your project, think carefully about how much of an impact that particular subject has on TCW tv series. You may need to be somewhat selective then. I know that for the KotOR project, I didn't include everything in that era, only articles that had a significant impact, or did not have an appearance anywhere else.     • Don't worry about it. I constantly go through and refine what falls under the project. It's easy to add and remove the templates, so take your time to think about articles. In your case, I would start with any articles that have appearances only in TCW tv series, then I would move on to others. Clone Wars project

Hey i am interested im working with you guys at the clone wars project, im completly new at this wikipedia type writing but i hope i can help , but i do have a couple questions, in the clones section , lisitng the names of clones, but there is no info on the background of the clones for example Ridge, Boil, and etc. , do we jsut leave it blank>? maybe jsut a paragraph about the clones creation in kamino, its regiment and what battle is shown , and episode number ? thnx for your time

Hi there

okay you addressed me directly so i figured what the hell so you really love following the jedi even though the entire war wasn't fought by clone that got little to no attention in their own film the clone wars it was just Anikin and Amidala for about 2 hours hell the show and republic commandos was about the most refreshing thing avalible in the cannon series as well as the commando novels as for the original trilogy it was okay until it was re-released for more incoming funds. As for me and the original series my aunt bought me an AT-AT and the three films on tape those "box things" for my 9th birthday which i made everyone (6 kids 7 adults) watch on the spot. we got stuck replaying the battle of hoth.Derekproxy 23:35, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Mission to Rugosa

Just to let you know. I changed the main image for the Mission to Rugosa article to a promotional image from SW.com that shows all of the major Republic players. About ships

Hey I was wondering if we could put a segment ships of the line for the class of war ships like defender tranguility and the like they don't need to be link to the ship's page so we can make it look more like a military regognition system.Derekproxy 21:05, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Problems

Currently their is no other way to go. I have edited the sections in the article and it has both the battle and the ship's perspective and the battles are in the correct canon order. I'd say we can do a complete rewrite of the sections to give it more of the ship's view like you had mentioned. By rewriting, I can source the sentences as well and give it a more clean feel to it. Im going to to review/watch the Malevolence episode arc and see what I can fill in. Besides the battles, yes we should have a more in-depth view of the ship and what it can do. I already found a perfect quote in which Grievous claims that they told him the ship was fast through hyperspace. Duels

Hey I wanted to respond to you about the Duel articles in the Trash Compactor discussion but I had already commented way to much on that discussion. I am not really sure what you are worried about. I can't think of a single instance in which there was an altercation with two lightsaber weilders that was not clear as to whether it was a duel or not. No one is trying to call Saberlock on Alderaan a duel (as I said, I jumped the gun on the article). Nor are they trying to say that because the younglings had sabers, Anakin's Massacre of them was a duel either. The only instances I can see that might be confusing would be the scenes in Jedi vs. Sith comic where Jedi and sith (and their supporting troopers and marauders) engaged each other in what was mostly a melee battle (like real world battles before guns). I wouldn't call one army engaging another a series of duels just because they used malee weapons.

Duels that happen without a surrounding battle are easy (e.g. Bane and Zahnna's duel against 5 or so jedi in Rule of TWO). Duels that take during battles are the issue that CT was about (and even that wasn't trying to figure out what constitutes a duel, merely if it should have its own article) . Duel that happen during battle are almost always in a location removed from the main front line of the battle (and when they are not, the rest of the soldiers avoid the dueling combatants. There is almost always some verbal and physical posturing and there is almost always a series of lightsaber to lightsaber strikes and some footwork. Now I don't know if it has ever happened, but if 2 force sensitives with lightsabers, removed themselves from the main battle, threw insults at one another, prepared themselves for the fight, and then one of the opponents killed the other with one strike, then yes, I would consider this a duel too (average samurai duels were said to only last about 3-6 moves). So duration is not really the primary concern.

I think it is pretty obvious what constitutes a duel. If you can find an example of an iffy duel, let me know. If not, I think your worrying about a non-issue. Besides, as I have said before, the TC discussion was not about what a duel was, bu whether a duel (defined however you want) that took place during a battle, should get its own article. When trying to decide that quesion, I recommend you find the greatest duel you can think of and decide if that needs its own article or should be part of a battle aricle. Because we will treat all duels the same (unless you pick option 3 which no one else has) depending on how this decision goes down.

And finally (see why I wrote here so as to not clutter up the board?), if you want a definition, the lightsaber duels article does a decent job: When 2 or more (obviously small groups) individuals engage in combat (no sparring sessions) with lightsabers (or other compadible weapon). Beyond that I would say, "you know one when you see one," and I don't think that most people (other than a few crackpots) will have trouble agreeing on them. Again, if you can find an example that would be "iffy" let me know. If you have a better way to define them, tell me that too (or edit the lightsaber duels page directly. Chronology

Hey hey CC, I was working on Nala Se and noticed that in the trivia section of the Shadow of Malevolence episode guide, it says that Anakin is cautious of Ahsoka's piloting to intercept the Malevolence because of her actions in Downfall of a Droid. I'm assuming this is refering to her piloting during the Mission to suspected Confederate space, but this would also imply that the events surrounding the abduction of R2 occur before the Malevolence crisis. Now that you're a member of the AC, can you answer a question for me? If an article only has once single Appearance and no Sources, it is required to go through the referencing process for it to be a GA? I ask because I just completely overhauled Davtokk, and he's only got the one appearance. I'm thinking of putting him up for GA, or possible FA. TCW webcomics

Just curious- I notice that the webcomic images you've uploaded recently from The Clone Wars: Transfer have been larger in size than the native resolution. I'm guessing that is because you're taking screenshots from your screen while viewing the comic in the SW.com webcomic viewer.
