  • Hi. Unfortunately, the characters are so small that they are unreadable even to me. Sorry, I really wish I could help... :-( --Nightlily (talk) 15:44, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

Anon Question

Um, excuse me, hi, I like to ask you a question. Do you know anything of a short story called Rebel Bass?--108.132.149.18 13:18, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, well I just wanted to ask because I read it. However, there is something else that is not right. Is it ok if I can explain?--108.132.149.18 13:25, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Well, is it ok if I can explain it to you first. Please!--108.132.149.18 13:33, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks you! One of the characters in the short story; Keth Beamis, he committed Suicide in 2 BBY, but none of that information is on that page. Would it be possible to add it, and maybe you can check for possible errors?--108.132.149.18 13:56, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

I also found that information on the page Rebel Bass.--108.132.149.18 13:58, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Is it ok if I add it.--108.132.149.18 14:16, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Thanks, but please help with the source if you know how to add it.--108.132.149.18 14:22, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Hey, I checked the sourcing policy, but is it ok if you can check if I did it right? If not, then can you fix it?--108.132.149.18 14:26, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Thank you so much Mr. Stake Black. I'm very pleased.--108.132.149.18 14:32, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Activity

Thanks for the kind words, Stake. I didn't think I was really that active, but I guess I have had a burst of activity lately. :P Mostly just finding random OOU articles and going crazy on them. Still not sure if I want to bother FAing them or not. And may I say, it's good to see that you've got Bree Starlighter up for GA. I always wanted to write a Star Tours article but never got around to it. Menkooroo (talk) 05:54, April 21, 2014 (UTC)

Two ideas

A dedicated regular wiki chat and a link on the movie pages to amazon in which you can but them same with the comics and on a unrelated note were you mad about them canceling 1313--Xeno126 (talk) 16:03, April 27, 2014 (UTC)

Culture of Naboo

As you're the expert on the topics, I was wondering whether you could handle the merging of the Naboo culture content into the Naboo (people), Gungan, and Naboo articles. I don't want to lose any of the work you did or screw it up, and you're the expert here. Cade GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Calrayn 00:11, May 26, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Cookie

Thanks, it was quite tasty! :) Looking forward to doing more work on adding info from those books-- I quite like them-- Brown did a nice job of creating an good story, while working in some interesting Star Wars references, in some cases ones that draw pretty deep into the Expanded Universe. ProfessorTofty (talk) 19:16, September 12, 2014 (UTC)

Re:File:Port of the Cloud City logo.jpg

  • No, unfortunately, I don't. It's probably just some random flourish by the artist. --Nightlily (talk) 11:11, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

Jedi Academy

Hi, Stake! As you have previously contributed information for the Jedi Academy books, I thought you might be interested in knowing that I recently did an interview with Jeffrey Brown. You can find it here. ProfessorTofty (talk) 01:23, November 6, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Book trailers

Thanks! I was vaguely aware of those, but had forgotten about them. I'll definitely keep them in mind as a source of images. So did you have a chance to read the interview? If so, what did you think? ProfessorTofty (talk) 12:03, November 22, 2014 (UTC)

Well, I tried to get what I could. I think I was able to grab some good information, such as confirming the upcoming release of the next two books, the background on Mr. Garfield and Voorpee, and identifying the video game as Gundark Trainer. I might see if I can ask more him questions, though, once the next book comes out. And next time I'll make sure to open it up for other people here to ask questions as well. ProfessorTofty (talk) 12:18, November 22, 2014 (UTC)

Sound files

Hey Stake, I noticed you extracted a few sound files from Jedi Academy, I was wondering how you did it and if the same process could be applied to Jedi outcast? Just leave a reply on my talk page so I don't miss it :) thanks mate! Manoof (talk) 13:56, February 27, 2015 (UTC)

  • Awesome, thanks heaps for that! Manoof (talk) 10:40, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
    • Actually now a follow up question. I found the audio file I wanted, which is in .mp3 format. The audio files here seem to have the .ogg extension. If I just change the extension, will it be readable or is there a different process I need to follow? Thanks again! Manoof (talk) 10:49, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
      • Alright, that's ok. Thanks for letting me know before I broke the wook :) Manoof (talk) 11:00, March 3, 2015 (UTC)
        • Just thought I'd let you know, I found two sites (which I linked on my userpage), one combines multiple audio files and the other can convert to .ogg :) Thanks again! Manoof (talk) 11:38, March 3, 2015 (UTC)

Hello from Europe

Hello there, my friend. I see that you're not on Facebook anymore—which is probably a good choice in life—so I wanted to get some news. ;-) --LelalMekha (talk) 18:54, January 22, 2016 (UTC)

  • Not yet, but Tox sounds like a plan! I need to understand how it works first (should I get uTox or qTox?) --LelalMekha (talk) 12:48, February 26, 2016 (UTC)
    • Installed! Looks very useful indeed.... I didn't know about it! --LelalMekha (talk) 12:57, February 26, 2016 (UTC)
      • So, er... how do I find you, now? --LelalMekha (talk) 13:07, February 26, 2016 (UTC)
        • Good. Let's hope I did it right. (It's never easy getting a new tool.) --LelalMekha (talk) 13:13, February 26, 2016 (UTC)

Re: Hour of Code

Huh! I don't even have a clue what this is. I must have a look. --LelalMekha (talk) 14:59, March 18, 2016 (UTC)

Multiple image template

Hello! I'm admin of RU Battleborn wiki, I'm currently working on basic aspects and templates for it. I've got a problem with galleries in navbox, they have big top and bottom paddings, and then I found this thread about Multiple image template. I wanted to ask you, do you still have code for it and can I use it (of course you'll be credited) or at least where can I find similar simplified version of Wikipedia's template? MtMB (talk) 09:06, October 8, 2016 (UTC)

Return

Welcome back, Stake. Or should I say... Bem vindo de volta, Nico. GalacticRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit Winterz (talk) 23:49, October 20, 2020 (UTC)

Thanks! Stake black 00:03, October 21, 2020 (UTC)

Warning: Backup links

Thanks for contributing to Wookieepedia! Please note that at least one of your recent additions added an external link without including a backup link. Our Sourcing policy mandates the inclusion of a permanent archival link in all external links. Instructions for doing this can be found on the respective citation template pages. Thanks! Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 04:16, October 21, 2020 (UTC)

  • I'm going to make this as clear as I can for you: You should not be adding an External link to Wookieepedia without also providing an accompanying backup link, whether this is in the course of referencing, populating an "External links" section, or uploading an image. You are expected to go back and provide backup links for everything you added to Wookieepedia yesterday. And continued failure to properly follow this site policy will result in a block from editing. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:11, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
    • Got it, thanks. But I don't understand why the latest edit to Angela Napoleon was reverted as no reason was given. If it's just the archiving issue, I can fix that. Stake black (talk) 01:20, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
      • You need to provide a link to a page, ideally one as authoritative as possible, that actually verifies the fact that Angela Napoleon played a Star Tours character named Bree Starlighter. Unless I totally missed it, the page you linked said no such thing. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:23, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
        • Doesn't the reference in the body of the article already state that? Stake black (talk) 01:33, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
          • Did you list that link in the External links? No, which is why the Verify template was added to the article. In real-world articles, the Bibliography and External links sections work the same as the Appearances and Sources do for in-universe articles. You would (hopefully) never create an IU article without an Appearances and/or Sources list, so likewise you should never create a real-world article without a Bibliography or External links (though rare exceptions do exist, of which this is not one). Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 01:52, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
            • The Cite web template is for referencing and shouldn't be used in the list of External links. Just list the URL and the backup link next to it using Template:C. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 02:07, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
  • Again, you need to go back and add backup links to all of the image files you uploaded yesterday or they will be deleted for lack of proper attribution. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 05:06, October 22, 2020 (UTC)
    • Thanks for the reminder. Wikia is acting a little funny right now and every time I try to add an archived URL, it displays an error page. I'll try again soon, so please hang tight. Stake black (talk) 11:41, October 22, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Wikia

Well, well, as I live and breathe! :D I'm glad to hear from you again, it's been too long! Now, as to the skin issue, let me think... Back when they cancelled Monobook, I remember someone created an addon that allows you use a simili-Monobook, and I installed it back in the day... Trouble is, I can't remember where I got it from. :-/ (P.S. You've completely disappeared from social media, haven't you?) --Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 07:03, October 21, 2020 (UTC)

  • Say, are you still using the Tox messenging system? Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 16:27, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
    • I'm not! I mostly use Telegram these days. Stake black (talk) 23:34, 22 October 2020 (UTC)
      • Telegram, eh? never heard of it. But truth to be told, I *never* use my mobile phone's Internet functionalities. Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 06:46, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
        • You can use it on desktops as well :) Stake black (talk) 09:58, 23 October 2020 (UTC)
          • By the way, have you tried this? Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 06:44, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
            • Thanks! It didn't quite work. Do you just use the default Wikia skin? Stake black (talk) 04:31, 26 October 2020 (UTC)

Re:ID

They have, and they are listed here. MasterFredCommerce Guild(talk) 01:20, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Re: Doggo

Ah, good question! At first glance, it certainly doesn't ring a bell. I suspect it's an original design, but I could be wrong. Lelal Mekha The Uprising crest (Audience Room) 16:16, 29 October 2020 (UTC)

Sims appearances

Just a heads up, when listing The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu in the "Appearances" section of an article, it should be under a subsection titled "Non-canon appearances." You'll need to go back and fix all the ones you've already added. MasterFredCommerce Guild(talk) 04:33, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Thanks for bringing this up. I was actually confused as to whether I should do it or not, because the article itself says some of the content is canon. How do we know what is canon and what isn't? Stake black (talk) 05:05, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
    • From how I understand it, nothing more than a name is really canon. None of the events or anything are. MasterFredCommerce Guild(talk) 05:33, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
      • Would you say the items in the game are also non-canon? I wish there was some sort of official clarification. Stake black (talk) 05:44, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
        • Can you give an example? I haven't played the game myself. MasterFredCommerce Guild(talk) 06:18, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
          • For instance, Legitimate Business Bench. Or any of the new redlinks I added to the page The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu some hours ago. Stake black (talk) 10:23, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

Decorations

Please stop creating articles for decorations. Those are obviously meant to be a Sims 4 mechanic and not an actual product in Star Wars. The game is not canon, the only canon thing from that game are the names for already existing characters or locations. We don't need an article for Serious Planning Table--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:12, 30 October 2020 (UTC)

  • Once again please stop creating this type of articles. Thanks--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:19, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
    • Sorry, I didn't see your initial message. They might be non-canon, but it's not obvious at all that these are simply Sims mechanics. The descriptions for the decorations are all in-universe and all of them can be found on Batuu in the game. They might look silly, but they are definitely in-universe. Stake black (talk) 23:24, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
      • All those 58 articles will be redirected to the Sims article. They're just decorations, not in-universe articles--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:27, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
        • Sorry, but what is that decision based on? The Sims 4 is a licensed Star Wars product, and features named in-universe objects. You haven't really backed up your argument for nuking 58 articles. Stake black (talk) 23:31, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
          • Because they're just Sims decorations. Licensed doesn't mean that its an in-universe object. I will be redirecting all the 58 articles to the Sims article by the end of the night.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:53, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
            • Being decoration doesn't automatically render it out-of-universe. See how some of these decorative items are used in-game, in-universe here. Stake black (talk) 23:55, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
              • The article shows how all the decorations are meant to be for the Sims mechanics and houses, not for in-universe purposes.--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 23:58, 30 October 2020 (UTC)
                • I think the root of this misunderstanding is that you might be under the impression that the objects are only for out-of-universe use. Like I showed in the link above, the items, described and labeled in an in-universe fashion, are not only physically present on Batuu (the in-universe part of the game) but even listed as products from Batuu merchants. What more proof is there that these are in-universe items?
                  • This is something we already discussed between admins, users and people in Galaxy's Edge Project. They're just decorations for Sims mechanics. We don't need articles for Serious Planning Table or Legitimate Business Bench--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 00:11, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
                    • Where was it discussed? Stake black (talk) 00:12, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
                      • The Wookieepedia:Discord. We would have more reason to create decorations from SWTOR which is a 100% canonical game in Legends, but the decorations are for the player and they're just in-game ways to give something to the player and even if they existed. We don't need an article about steel, plastic, cantina chairs. They're just chairs--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 00:16, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
                        • Where does that leave things like Scoundrel Personality Chip S-01? It's clearly not decoration. What's the threshold? Stake black (talk) 00:19, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

Re:Raspar

Hi. Raspar-6 was stripped of GA status due to insufficient word count (see Rule 12 both here and here). Although you originally took it to GA status, hope you don't mind I take it to CA status given I rewrote the article to comply with the new rules. Imperators II(Talk) 07:14, 27 November 2020 (UTC)

Mythos

Hello Stake, you'll want to look over two of your status articles, Bounty 239 and Lomrokk. The BTS doesn't really explain what Mythos actually is, and apparently there's something about cancellation and non-canonicity? UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 13:38, 17 May 2021 (UTC)

  • Hi there, Shayanomer. I don't know about any cancellations. Maybe AmazinglyCool knows more about it? Stake black (talk) 05:55, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
    • Probably. UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 07:14, 19 May 2021 (UTC)

CRILOC Horse

Hi Stake, I'm informing you about issues in one of your CAs, CRILOC Horse, as you are still fairly active on the wiki. Here's what I identified:

  • Duplicate reference in body.
  • Redlink.
  • Per Layout Guide, full publication date is required for magazine issues.
  • If we have a page for horse, why isn't this creature introduced as such? UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 20:01, 3 July 2021 (UTC)

Letters

Hi Stake black, just letting you know that vector letters for some of Aurebesh already exist. Since the ones currently in png format are intentionally so, I'd recommend removing {{SVG}} from those you've added it to that do not have a vector counterpart. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 03:51, 23 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi there, thanks for the ping. I saw those, but I think the sans serif bold ones are slightly different, which is probably why they're being used in {{AurB}}. If they are exactly the same, then we should probably use {{SVGNowAvailable}} instead of removing {{SVG}}. Stake black (talk) 03:58, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
Got it, I didn't realize that. That being said, however, they were all uploaded by Trip, who AFAIK was quite proficient in SVGs so probably could have done it in vector if he wanted to, which makes me think that png was intentional. I'm not entirely sure though. JediMasterMacaroni(Talk) 04:15, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
