Signature

            • Everything looks right to me on your sig page itself. If you have the "user raw signature" box checked in your preferences, plus {{SUBST:User:Kingpin13/sig}} in the box your signature is supposed to link to, then I don't understand why it's not working. Okay

When I edit articles, I mainly look for capitalzation or puncuation errors. A stub is about a paragraph or less of information that you don't know much about, when you place a stub on an article you basically asking people to help you put information about that stub.     • It's all on that page but here is what you do, {{userbox|outline color|main color|image|Text}} copy and paste that then fill it out, so type down red in one of the colors and yellow in the other or green or silver etc. etc. Type down the link to what picture you want in the Image section so type [[:File:WOSMflagpurple2.png|60px]] for the scout sign. Also beaware that unless you put the userbox into a box type thing it will be the wrong size, as you can see if you go onto my user page, all my userboxes are in my infobox which keeps them all the same size, to make a box to put your userboxes into type this: {| style="float: right; margin-left: 1em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; width: 252px; border: #99B3FF solid 1px" | <center>'''My userboxes'''</center>|- |{{Userbox1}} |- |{{Userbox2}} |- |{{Userbox3}} |}

Click Edit this page to get that code because if you just copy it when you are just viewing the line breaks won't be there. And then instead of {{Userbox#}} enter your personal userbox.     • Well it depends. If you name it missile then it will make the page on wookieepeida, if you name it User:Colonel Solo/Project Missles it will make the page as a sub userpage which you will later transport into missile.   • most word/writer documents have a tool called word count or something simarlar, so copy and paste it into there to see how many you have (make sure you get rid of the border or it won't count them as words). If you don't delete your stuff I think it normally gets deleted for you but I'm not sure.   • on some user's talk pages the will have links to archives, these are sub pages called, in your case, User:CloneSaber/archive1, what they put in them is archived talk from older versions of their talk pages. So if you wanted to make one you'd make the sub page copy and paste every thing in your talk page into it, and then delete your proper talk page and put a link to archive1, you don't really need to do that yet. - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 13:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Manoof

Hey dude, It's me, manoof. While I appreciate you trying to work out what happened with my block, it would probably be best if you just leave it :( I've already tried to get to the bottom of it and while I am still not happy about the decision, none of the other admins seem to care. So there is nothing I can do except cop the block.

I'm not making any other edits except to talk, which I dont do much, because I dont want to extend the block any further :( I do have more plans to get the TCG pages even better, but I'll have to wait until after the block.

(By the way, if any admin sees this, I hope this isn't classed as either vandalism/general disruption or block evasion. I felt it necessary to thank him and thought it rude not to until November, when my block finishes)

  • I doubt it will be as it's the opisite :D. I was more trying to find out the reason and seeing if I thought the grounds for blocking needed to be more strongly inforced (i.e. warning). However, ultimately, I agree with the admins as it's their job to block people and decided how long they get blocked for, even if I personally think they should have handeled things diffrently I guess I'm happy to let them do things their way, after all they were voted in and have been around here longer then me. Advice

Hey, I've noticed that you've lately taken to telling vandals "Stop, or you'll be blocked". That's good that you're attempting to patrol the RC's, but as you're not an administrator, warning users or insinuating right off the back that you have that power to block them, can sometimes be confusing to those users/anons. I know that's probably not your intention, so I would suggest you use the warning templates on "Wookieepedia:Template messages/User talk namespace" that best apply to the instance at hand. That way it protects you in case anyone attempts to say "Well, you're not an administrator, so there", which has happened to many others before. Thanks for your efforts, and keep it up.     • Check out this spot on the page. It is the "warning" section, and contains a lot of useful templates for a lot of diverse situations. Templates like {{test1}}, {{test2}}, {{test3}}, and {{test4}} (to name a few) are used by other users to warn offenders for vandalism, specifically.         • It's generally left up to your discretion, but for most instances it is recommended you try to start at the bottom and "loosely" follow the correct order. Though, depending on the level of vandalism, or how many times it has happened/been done already, then that's where your discretion comes into play. Mara Jade

  • Since you've placed an inuse tag on it, I didn't want to edit it, but you should be aware of a few things: 1) In America, it is spelled "demeanor", so "demeanour" is unacceptable. 2) Calling her ships section "Equipment" is not accurate; it should be left at "Mara's ships." You'll find the Layout Guide is specifically ambiguous on what sections are required and it doesn't have to be called "Equipment." 3) If you're going to change the Talents section, it should be called "Skills and abilities" to reflect Mara's large selection of non-Force related skills.   • Slightly related: it's somewhat discouraged to add Inuse tags to Featured Articles -- especially major characters -- since they're supposed to be the best of the best and having such a tag undermines this a tad. Disambig Page

Thanks for setting up that disambig page for Emperor's Will. I've been busy the last few days so I didn't get a chance to look into it. I've never done a disambig page before (I'm pretty new to editing in general), is there a link or something you could direct me to that shows me how to do it myself for the future? Thanks!   • Not one I know of, but it's pretty simple. You create the page just as you would normally (when making an article), then you type down somthing like "(Article name) could refer to:" then, using bulletpoints, do a list of what it could refer to, with a little information on each option. Then (at the bottom of the page) add this template: {{Category}} and you're done, Bob's your uncle ;D. If you don't understand something or need help with somthing else feel free to ask, alternativly you could look at a disambig page (it could help if you pressed edit and then looked at the code). - Kingpin13Cantina Battle Ground 08:21, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
