Friday Night Fight
Hey, im managing the |Friday Night Fight for BobafettH23 because I don't know where he is and I know everyone would like to see it continued. I was wondering if you could help advertise it for me because there aren't enough people voting on it. Spread the word! Darth Aeyz [Force connection]

Infobox images
First off, stop changing the size of infobox images. They are supposed to be 250px and no more.
Regarding the infobox for the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, as soon as you provide a validated source for the image, then it can remain. Otherwise, the image I placed there is legitimate as it has a source.
The YV-666 light freighter main image is fine as it is. The image of Houndstooth is already the main image for that article and doesn't need to be for this article. - JMAS 00:07, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- 1) No. 250px is too small. 2) I wasn't aware that image was unsourced. 3) The non-TNEGtVaV image of the YV-666 is better because the TNEGtVaV is obviously from that book, as shown by the quality of the image. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:09, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- 250px is the agreed upon policy. If you don't believe me, then kindly see the recent Mofference. It was decided in there. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:16, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Then I'm starting a new forum on it. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:18, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- It's not for personal preference...it's because it messes up lower resolutions. It's 250px for technical reasons, and if you start a forum topic then I shall shut it down. If it had been for personal preferences, then I'd allow one...but not when it's technical. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:20, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Don't you dare shut that forum down, Jaymach. It's called freedom of speech. I'm allowed to discuss such a topic. You're not the only administrator around here. Let's see what the other 18 admins have to say. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:22, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- As I said...it's due to technical difficulties, and not my opinion. I'm personally on a resolution of 1600x1200, so I'd be perfectly happy with 400px infobox images...I have shut down the forum topic due to the fact that it's already been decided seeing as we want the site to be viewable by everyone. I will continue to shut the forum topic down if you recreate it, also. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:25, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Jaymach, that's an abuse of powers. Regardless of what the policy is, I had every right to create that topic. And instead of deleting the forum and adding your little message in the edit summary, you could have simply posted it in the forum. Restore the forum, Jaymach. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:27, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- So it's an abuse of powers to enact site policy when it's there to let people be able to use the site, is it? Strange, that. If I had left the topic there, then people would have thought that it was meant to go to vote and voted...which would have been useless as we're putting the 250px policy on so that people on lower resolutions and older PC's are able to look at the pages. As I said...look at the recent Mofference transcript, as it explains it in more detail. If you don't wish to do that, then ask Darth Culator as it was he who noticed it. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:32, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- I never wanted a vote. I wanted a discussion. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:32, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- So what were people meant to discuss? That they didn't like the policy? That they'd prefer the policy changed to 275px? That's what leads to a vote...they're at 250px because we're making the site viewable on 800x600px resolutions, rather than making people upgrade their computers. If you can tell me any other reasons for the discussion, then I'll consider restoring the page. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Did you even bother to read it before deleting it? I wanted to see how many people would support a 260px infobox image instead of a 250px one. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:37, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- I did read it...that would be a vote. It's specifically set at 250px because that's the largest size that works if we have thumbnails opposite the infoboxes. As I said, if you had read the Mofference, then you would understand this situation as it is clearly explained. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 01:40, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- Please see here for the reasoning behind keeping it at 250px. —Jaymach Ral'Tir (talk) 02:40, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry
Sorry for that edit war. We're both obviously stubborn gentlemen, which sometimes leads to things like this. I think in eventual future conflicts similar to this we should be more open to compromises such as the one we found for Gunray. So, let's shake hands, eh? --Imp 02:06, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

V-wing spacing
Between the first and second paragraphs of the section titled history there is a massive space. When I corrected this you undid my edit. Just curious as to why seeing as that huge space looks really bad. Leader 02:03, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

User page bio
Admiral, I was just wondering if I could include your character on my userpage's bio. Administratorship
Hey Nebulax, long time no see.
I'm nominating you for adminship at Wookieepedia:Requests for adminship. It's unfair that you have the 2nd most edits on this damn site, yet you aren't an admin.
Good luck, Jack.
Cheers,
-49 Proximal Secant [RelentlessRecusant20px] 20:27, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

- No thanks. I was recently nominated a third time, and it failed. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:30, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, Jack. What went wrong? Dammit, you like own the damn site b/c you make so many edits, yet people still turn you down? Who the hell had enough screws left in their damn head to make that call? How many edits do you have? Twenty thousand? Your attitude, I must admit, is sometimes abrasive, but you do far more good than harm. Your contributions are invaluable, and I won't stand for other bastards that don't stand for you. If you become a sysop, this site will be nearly completely free from vandals - you'll find 'em all and kill 'em. Lemme know what you think. With utmost sincerity and respect, -49 Proximal Secant [RelentlessRecusant20px] 20:36, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- It comes down to that the administrators don't trust me. They won't give me a chance. They keep using my attitude as a way to make the nomination fail. But Kuralyov has abused his powers numerous times, and yet no one says much about him. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:39, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

- Yeah... Tell that to the administrators. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 20:55, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Kuralyov is a fucking bastard. He is exemplary of admin power abuse. Hell, that's what I find on the dictionary when I look at the entry "abuse of power". This is fucking ridiculous. Anyone looking at this that's an admin can ban me because I don't inhabit this site much anymore. Anyone else reading this should vote for Nebulax. If Nebulax is reading this, just chill out and feel valiant in your accomplishments, and be less abrasive, and next time you have an RfA, it'll go through. Cheers, -49 Proximal Secant [RelentlessRecusant20px] 21:03, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- If I might dip my fly in this ointment - Edit counts do not mean someone is cut out to be an admin. For instance, someone might have had a thousand edits of tweaking minor things on a few pages...sometimes reverting their own work, if they stuff up, and the next person might have 50 edits, all of which have added significant amounts of content. So, it means little. .... 22:06, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Exactly. And you can't really use the edit count as the basis for promoting Jack, when you call the Wookieepedian with the highest edit count a "fucking bastard". --Azizlight 22:39, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, Relentless, I was just using Kuralyov as an example. There wasn't a need to call him that. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 22:57, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

- Decorum and diplomacy are two of the more important things that are looked at by those choosing an admin. Administrators are like referees in sports; they know the rules and how/when to enforce them, but they also serve as impartial witnesses to the game and the conduct of its players. While they may make what seem to be unfair calls, those calls are rarely cruel. Not that I'm saying you're cruel Jack, you've shown some improvement in your behaviour, such as in handling 'All That Jazz' and his contributions on the 'Anakin Skywalker' page. - I'm not expert on the subject, but here's my two cents - don't vie for adminship. Take down that little thing on your userpage that says that you want to be an admin, and just sit back and do what you do. Turn down all offers to become an admin, and wait a few months. After such time, I'm sure that someone else will ask you, and then you go for gold. Just what I think. .... 01:35, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

A question, Jack...
I've been wondering this for some time, and I've finally decided to just go ahead and ask you. Here goes. How come you've achieved so many edits? Have you been editing Wookieepedia since the beginning, or are you just a fast worker? Oh, and good work on improving this Wikia. Thanks! Unit 8311 20:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I started here about a month or two after it started, and ever since I've just been looking for things to edit. Some people accuse me of always trying to be at the top of the history of articles, but that's not true. I just always find something to edit. And thanks for the compliment. Grand Admiral J. Lethal Alliance???
- on the Lethal Alliance page it states that
Rianna is a fugitive Twi'lek who lost a lekku after Kheev, her slaver, got angry at her for trying to escape. The game ends with Rianna holding Zeeo, walking to her transport.
. I have beaten the game and NOWHERE does it say that. It also says that the IG Assassin droids are in it. That is not true. It also says that Rianna gives the plans to Kyle Katarn that is not true. There is a LOT of false stuff on that page!!! Please let me know on my talk page. Thanks!
Grand Admiral Nick Vos [Holonet]
- Sorry, but no, you're wrong on everything except the "Kyle Katarn getting the plans" part. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 22:00, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry! I looked in the game manual and saw the part about the Lekku. And someone told me that the troopers in the warehouse were the IG droids. But she never gives the plans to Kyle, she gives them to Leia. I am going to delete that part.
Grand Admiral Nick Vos [Holonet]
- For the record, it tells you in one of the in-game scenes that Rianna was a fugitive Twi'lek who lost a lekku at Kheev's hands. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 22:09, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey Jack, just wondering, you chhanged all of the Tempest scout speeds to 60 km/h. The page for AT-St says they move 90 km/h. Just wondering which was correct. - So? That doesn't mean we put that in the article. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:54, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- WELL, fans that are not you or Darth Culator, may be intrested.(No offence) I just wish that you would stop deleting TRUE facts. If you allow Mara, Thrawn, and Kyle to have action figures why not allow Quin and Alpha? Don't delete those either, savvy?

- Perhaps you'd both like to discuss this in the Senate - \\Captain Kwenn// — Ahoy! 22:20, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Quinlan, we're an encyclopedia, not Hasbro.com. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 23:06, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- That may be, but if information has been confirmed regarding anything to do with an article then it must be added.--Herbsewell 00:07, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Either way, be careful, as both of you are coming dangerously close to the 3RR. —Xwing328(Talk) 00:21, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- I think the information is relevent enough to add to the article. Maybe we could add an optional "Merchandise" section to some articles, underneath (or within) the "Behind the Scenes" section? --Azizlight 00:23, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merchandise information isn't necessary here. Our role is an encyclopedia, not advertisement for Hasbro. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:40, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Technically, Wookieepedia is an advertisement for the entire Star Wars franchise. And merchandise is an integral part of Star Wars history. Why not include it? It can have its own section, and if people don't want to read it, then they can easily ignore it. --Azizlight 00:44, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

- Wookieepedia is an advertisement for Star Wars, yes, but not Hasbro.com. And if we were to incorporate toy sections into articles, what's the limit? Obviously we couldn't stop at action figures. We'd have to include lightsabers, vehicles, bottle caps, Burger King toys, etc. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:52, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, we do have to.--Herbsewell 00:55, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Which is exactly the problem. Wookieepedia would end up looking like Hasbro.com, and the whole purpose of being an encyclopedia would end. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:56, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- I can see your point Jack, but I think we could make it work. We should probably take this to the WP:CT to get some more opinions and ideas. --Azizlight 00:58, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think it can work, Aziz. We're not a collector's site. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 00:59, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- No, they have advertisements displaying their products. They get a profit from displaying other advertisements from different companies. This is an encyclopedia. We don't make a profit and we never will.--Herbsewell 01:00, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

- Well you're not really giving a reason. Why would it become less of an encyclopedia?--Herbsewell 01:11, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Because an encyclopedia's purpose is to show information regarding certain topics. Encyclopedias don't advertise toys. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:13, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- It's not. It's just noting that this particular character is being produced into a toy by a particular toy company.--Herbsewell 01:14, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Herbsewell, that's advertising for the toy company. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 01:15, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Well so is noting the books and appearances. This whole encyclopedia is based on a commercial franchise that all comes from advertised sources. It would be impossible to have this kind of database without advertising products.--Herbsewell 01:20, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

- Let's just take this to Consensus Track please, where the community can decide on it. I'm sure Jack doesn't want his talk page cluttered up with an extended argument, and there are better ways to handle this. Atarumaster88 20px (Audience Chamber) 06:24, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Herbsewell: Toys are different. Quinlanfan: I don't "allow" the Mara, Thrawn, and Kyle articles to have toy information. I simply haven't got around to removing it yet. So, kindly, leave me alone. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 12:01, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

- . Let's just leave everything as it was. Leave All the old figure stuff alone.Plus there is a whole page created off of a set of figures that NEVER appears in any film, book, game, or comic. All I'm saying is that there is a lot more star wars figure collectors than you think. In Star Wars Insider there are pictures of people who have entire wearhouses FILLED with star wars figures. Since we have pages about books, games, comics, and cards, why not just put a comment about a figure that is going to be made on a character that do Not appear in the films?

- I Suggest that we take a vote on weather we should put them on there or not.
- Please vote on this matter in the Senate or click the link below:

- Quinlanfan, I know there are plent of Star Wars collectors. I am one of them. But this is not the place for collectors to go on posting information about toys they've collected. Grand Admiral J. Nebulax (Imperial Holovision) 20px 21:39, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Darth Culator
DC posted his vote as against but it says that he likes the third option. Look at it Please Quinlanfan 22:26, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
