Guri
Photo over artwork, absolutely. The CCG image isn't a live image, however. It's digital art and therefore shouldn't have higher priority over the digital art image from the SWG TCG, which is just as high quality, not to mention centered. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 22:04, November 2, 2009 (UTC)
- It's the closest thing to a live image that we have. The TCG image is good, but the CCG one just seems more infoboxworthy. Green Tentacle (Talk) 22:12, November 2, 2009 (UTC)

Just so you know: I posted all info from SWG TCG scenarios here, so you can use it while writing Rendar instead of just accepting my version. MauserComlink 22:35, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
Why?
Why did you delete my article(Bowcaster-Class Cruiser) so quickly? I did not have time to respond. Why can't I put on fanon? I put that it's fanon if you want. Just please put it back on.—Unsigned comment by Bixbamtastic (talk • contribs)
- Wookieepedia is for recording information from official sources. It is not for fanfiction. If you want to write fanon, try the Star Wars Fanon Wiki. Oh, and please sign your comments with ~~~~. Thanks. Green Tentacle (Talk) 14:47, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
Why does it say my vote is stricken on Sith Peanut Butter?
Why does it say my vote is stricken here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Wookieepedia:Trash_compactor/Sith_Peanut_Butter#Keep I was the one who made Wookieepedia aware of this, so I dare say my vote should count. I call foul and underhanded abuse by the administrator!!! :( Jediphile 13:07, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- If you'd bothered to click the link you'd see exactly why the vote was struck. You have to have at least 50 main namespace edits to vote in a TC. You have 29. And don't un-strike it again. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:11, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- So apparently me being the source of this knowledge doesn't count. Besides, looking at my page here: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/Jediphile I'd say I've done more than 50 edits. Since you voted "delete" that speaks volumes and seems rather below board in that you seem to be trying to subvert the voting process. I'll refrain from saying what I think about that and you right now out of sheer politeness and instead consider whether I want to continue being a Wookieepedian at all :( Jediphile 13:16, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Source of what knowledge? If you mean the Revan stuff, it isn't even relevant to that TC. And I enforced a policy. Simple. You have over 50 total, but not article edits as stated in the policy which you've clearly still not bothered to read. You'll note that one of the delete votes was struck for the same thing. It happens a lot. Get over it, go and make some useful contributions and you'll be eligible to vote. But don't let me stop you if you feel like flouncing. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:24, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- It's interesting that you cite a policy that lists not the edits that are registered on the user page, so that it makes it impossible for the user to know what rights he has. It smacks of "that's the way it is according to the rule I just made up". That's the sort of policy that makes people angry and start vandalizing the site. I guess I should just look hard at a bunch of small stuff to edit now so my vote counts, but frankly my opinion of Wookieepedia is so low right now that I can't even be bothered to consider it. Who's flouncing? Well, who brought it up? Jediphile 13:32, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- It's not impossible. Set the namespace drop down box on your contributions page to main and you'll see a list of just article edits. Or you can look on Special:Editcount/Jediphile which clearly says 29. Now drop it. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:36, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- And don't remove comments from discussion pages either. Green Tentacle (Talk) 13:38, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- I can't even remove MY OWN COMMENTS?!? [insert shock and horror here] Apparently only you can delete my comments, while I cannot!!!! Please point out the rule where it says that! :( Jediphile 13:56, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- That's a longstanding rule on most wikis. Removing or editing comments gives an inaccurate view of the discussion as a whole. You really don't need to take this so personally. You can continue make comments on the page, just not vote yet. And I've already told you how to go about becoming eligible to vote. If you devoted some effort to that instead of banging on about a policy that was agreed by the community you might get somewhere. Green Tentacle (Talk) 14:14, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- So you can't even point to a rule beyond a vague reference to "longstanding rules on most wikis"? I'll take that as confirmation that you can't cite one, since you have no problem consistently clobbering me over the head with the rules. As for the "devoting some effort", someone should really check my edit count again before making a blanket statement like that. Since I now have 50 edits, I assume you'll make my vote count, as you've made it more than abundantly clear that I have no right to do so or even edit my own comments. EDIT: Also, why are you undoing several of my recent edits as a matter of course without even considering their validity or asking for sources. That seems like bad faith. It also seems like personal persecution. Jediphile 16:13, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Congratulations. Go ahead and vote. As for the reverts; unnecessary change to an article nominated for FA, failure to correctly capitalise the Force or the Exile, OOU references in an IU section. We're looking for quality, not quantity. Green Tentacle (Talk) 16:59, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. But you'll have to revert it and unstrike it. I'm not allowed to, remember? And I don't understand why the note on Nihilus about dying and being reborn on Malachor V is deleted. That's a direct quote from the game, which is missing in his description. I'd think it had some importance. I also don't get why the Vrook comment was removed. It was more specific and factual than my earlier edit that you reverted it back into. And inferring lack of quality from the person who sourced the Revan retcon on Wookieepedia and updated his page with it? Tsk ,tsk... Jediphile 17:08, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- Okay, enough already, Jediphile. You're not God's gift to Wookieepedia. Stop bugging Green Tentacle just because you don't like your vote being struck or your edits being reverted. On this site, we have policies that all users have to follow. You are no exception, regardless of what you may think. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 17:17, December 13, 2009 (UTC)

Conflict
Hello Green tentacle, I am Galstone Jattzan. Before I say anything though, please note I have set my feelings aside and conidered this carefully so It would be as quick as possible for a busy admin like you (which I think is exelent and you diserve your rank) to understand A week ago, Topwatta and Raltir blocked me and Galen Marik for dissruption. Which of cource we where not. In an arguement on Lightsaber's Dr.Kermit and Grand Moff Trainer where be very rude and dissruptive, If you do not believe me then look on the lightsaber disscution around the bottom and the above users talk page. Even if Galen Marik is guilty (which I think is erronious) I cannot, for even if I was being dissruptive, then Topwatta and Raltir should have given me 3 warnings. He gave me none!. Now, I am sure you read the article on administrative powers and it says he should have given me 3 warnings. If you do not believe me, then see all these problems yourself. But I also have consulted with other users about this and most agree with me. I purpose that he should be stripped of his rank and someone else more responsable to be putt into his place. If you can not do that, then at least talk to him admin to admin.
I know you will make the best decition possible, even if it is against me, but his actions are highly offencive and I am telling this to you because I know your a extremely responsible administrator and you are one of the best admins i have ever seen.
May the force be with you.

Gar Stazi FA status
Hi Green tentacle. I haven't been able to contribute much to the Wook over the past several months, but I have been meaning to add to update the Stazi article. I had a chance to glance over the additions made in light of Legacy #42 today. The information is accurate, though it could use some polish. :-)
I put alot of hard work into getting Stazi to FA status, so I would hate tyo see it lose that honor. My time for the Wook is unfortunately very limited for the forseeable future, but if you feel it needs to additional work to help it keep this status let me know. I will do my best to lend a hand. :)

Hello, I believe you are the one who blocked me from Wookieepedia. First of all, I am confused. An administrator, like yourself, should know that the plural for Jedi is Jedi, not 'Jedis'. Second of all, the person who gave me the 'definition' of [sic] was not clear at all. Lastly, I read on the IRC page to not be a dick. Shouldn't that apply to you, too?
I'm confused.

- I know what the plural of Jedi is. Everybody else knows what the plural of Jedi is. But we're also familiar with the concept of a quote. Enforcing a policy is not being a dick and maybe you should have read the three-revert policy instead. And I fail to see what any of this has to do with Lando. Happy New Year! Inuse tag
Hi. I have a question. A user put the inuse tag on the Cut Lawquane's farm article a couple of days ago, but hasn't really been working actively on it, even leaving some errors. Now, Wikipedia states that an inuse tag should be removed if it has been up for more than two hours since the last edit. I've searched, but not managed to find any corresponding guidelines for this site. The user who put the template on the aforementioned article did his last edit to it more than a day ago. Is it allowed to remove the tag by now? Thanks in advance. -NistraTalk 15:57, January 4, 2010 (UTC)
- Don't think we have a specific guideline, but I'd leave it for another day or so before removing it. Green Tentacle (Talk) 19:32, January 4, 2010 (UTC)

Hey! I was wondering why you deleted Music infobox. I recreated it because I was in the middle of editing when you deleted it. If it's absolutely necessary, you can redelete it. I think it would be useful for music articles. Thanks and God bless! Master Fredcerique 22:32, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
- It was just a copy of {{WPinfobox}} with different colours. I see what you're trying to do now, but please refrain from constant saves. There's a preview button for a reason. Green Tentacle (Talk) 22:35, January 7, 2010 (UTC)

Hey, Gt, I noticed you've recently done quite a nice expansion of Jinda (species). Do you have an aspiration to nominated for FAN sometime? What did I do wrong when leaving a message about Celchu trial to Inquisition? Care to enlight me a bit?--Dionne Jinn (Something to say?) 23:02, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
- Actually…nothing. It's late and it had the CSD template on it. :P I'll restore it. Don't expect much progress though. We're slow enough at getting through the FANs. Other articles are pretty much ignored. Green Tentacle (Talk) 23:09, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

- If you're hoping it'll make it to FA, then just nominate it. The page you created is just for feedback, which is slow to come and won't lead to it becoming featured without being nominated later anyway. From a quick glance, you need to source the outcome in the infobox, by the way. Green Tentacle (Talk) 23:16, February 26, 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing that you have the DVD of the Droids episodes, or at least much better-quality episodes than I have, so I'm wondering if you can maybe provide me with high-quality versions of a few more. If not, no worries at all, and if so, I owe you many thanks.
I've uploaded the images here... http://boards.theforce.net/UserPages/Profile.aspx?user=Jeff_Ferguson (please click on the link at the bottom... sorry about this; wikia won't let me link to photobucket). The first one (trapdoorplummet) is from The New King at around 13:09. "squidtangle" is from The Pirates of Tarnoonga at about 8:33. The three ones of R2 swimming --- I only want one of those, but I have three up there because he's moving pretty quickly, making it difficult to nab a good screenshot. They're also from Tarnoonga, at 8:52, 8:56. and 9:02 respectively. And finally, "forbiddenlove" is from Coby and the Starhunters at about 14:29.
Again, if I'm asking the wrong person, or if it's too much trouble, no worries and sorry to bother you. Cheers! Menkooroo 09:26, May 10, 2010 (UTC)
- You are a champion! I really appreciate this. No rush at all, either; I won't have the Jann Tosh arc of Droids completed for Artoo and Threepio for a while yet. You can upload them to the wook if you want, or e-mail them to me at gradualferguson@hotmail.com , or whatever is easiest for you. Menkooroo 00:01, May 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you so much! The images look amazing. That was really awesome of you to go to that trouble. I'm pretty sparse on sources where I live right now, but if you need anything from the, uh... radio dramas or Legacy Era Campaign Guide, let me know. :^) Menkooroo 13:27, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Account Help
GT...
Sorry, this might not be the best forum for this question/issue, but I don't know what else to do. The email address I originally used to create my account is no longer functioning. To top it off, I forgot my password, and then accidentally had a new one sent to my email. So I'm basically locked out. :(
Any way you or another admin can get my new email in my account and get me a new password so I can get back in? Sorry for the trouble.

- Sorry, but that's beyond the power of us admin types. Try asking one of the Wikia staff if they can do anything, but you might end up having to register again. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:55, May 13, 2010 (UTC)
- Email Wikia staff using either Special:Contact or by emailing to

Give them all the information about your account you can, such as what the email set in the preferences is, and if they can confirm that you are that user, they can reset your password. Cheers, Grunny (talk) 21:24, May 13, 2010 (UTC)- Thanks guys. Will do. 68.229.179.97 19:20, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Signature Stuff
Hi, I'm new here, and I noticed that the Nosubst template was deleted. My signature in my preferences requires the Nosubst template to function properly, because on all the other wikis I contribute to, they all use that template, so without it, I cannot use my sig. If you have a way to solve this problem, that would be great. Thanks, {{SUBST:Nosubst|User:SSgtGriffin/sig}} 19:59, August 3, 2010 (UTC) (SSgtGriffin)
- Not sure why it was deleted, but probably because it's not particularly useful. Can you make a signature that works without it? Green Tentacle (Talk) 21:08, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Well, I removed the Nosubst in my preferences and simplified my sig here. But now when I sign all my sig code appears. Nosubst makes the sig template appear instead of the sig code itself. SSgtGriffin Talk 0 21:29, August 3, 2010 (UTC)
Farlander in Blueprints: Rebel Edition
Hey GT; my copy came today, and here's the passage with Farlander: "At the Battle of Yavin, three Rebel pilots of Gold Squadron - Jon Vander (Gold Leader), Tiree (Gold Two), and Davish "Pops" Krail (Gold Five) - flew their Y-wings in the first bombing run into the Death Star's trench. Meanwhile, Keyan Farlander (Gold Seven) provided tactical support and held off enemy TIE fighters. Farlander was his squadron's only survivor." Hope that helps :) - Cavalier One20px(Squadron channel) 09:56, August 6, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, I would like to use the file Mara_Jade_Skywalker_by_wraithdt.jpg, that was deleted for improper use of fan art, in my article, and since it was you who deleted, I was hoping you could restore it, please.

X-wing
Greetings, sir or madam. I understand that you are knowledgeable on the subject of X-wing. Could you possibly get me a run-down on Tarkin's involvement in the game and whatever information it has about him? I'm working on him for FA, and there are only so many ways to get at that info. AJAX
Hey there, GT. As it appears you know your way around wiki-coding and CSS, are you familiar with how to add the AJAX/Auto-refresh check box to the recent changes page. I'm asking so that it can be added to another wiki that I contribute to. I'm not an admin there, but I was asked by Master Fredcerique, who created the other wiki, whether I knew how to add the feature. If you know how it's done, or can direct me to who would know, could you let either myself, or Master Fredcerique know? Thanks. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 18:51, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Here's the diff where it was added. Basically go to MediaWiki:Common.js and copy the section starting with "ADVANCED AJAX AUTO-REFRESHING ARTICLES" down to "END OF AJAX AUTO-REFRESH" to the JavasScript on the other wiki and it should work. Green Tentacle (Talk) 19:01, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Great. Thank you very much. - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 19:06, September 8, 2010 (UTC)
- Master Fredcerique added that javascript, and yet, even after clearing the browser cache, neither of us can get it to show up. Would you mind taking a look at the MediaWiki:Common.js code over there and see if there's anything blaring you can spot that needs to be tweaked? - JMAS 20px Hey, it's me! 23:19, September 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, I hate to be a bother, but could you check the genre tags while you're at it? They show up on Monobook, but not on Monaco. I would appreciate it very much. Thanks and God bless. Master Fredcerique | (Talk) 12:46, September 10, 2010 (UTC)

Techie stuff
Hello again. :) I was wonderin' if you could help me here and on LifeMusic Wiki. I can't get my collection and favorites, etc. on my userpage to come out right. Also, is there a way I can get the white toolbar (the one that follows the screen) on LMW to remain, but not be on the Sitenotice? I'm guessing it's something in MediaWiki, but idk what to do. Sorry to bother, but you're one of the most wiki savvy people I know here, so this is where I turn for help. Thanks and God bless! - Umm.....Hello? If you don't wanna do it just tell me. I don't mind. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 16:16, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, been busy. Your user page is messed up because you have an unclosed div in the collection scroll box. Take out the line "<div style="float:left; width:50%;">" and it should work. You could use JavaScript to add the toolbar instead of doing it through the site notice. The way you've got it is easier though. Green Tentacle (Talk) 18:00, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- OK. Thanks for the userpage info. I'll fix it ASAP. And for the toolbar. The reason I wanted it out of the sitenotice is so that the little dismiss link won't be at the top. It just looks weird with that up there with no text to dismiss, but I wanna keep the toolbar. Is there a way to make the toolbar dismissable by a link on the toolbar itself? Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 04:28, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
- You'd probably need JS for that too. I guess you could use CSS to hide the dismiss link at the top if you wanted, but then people won't be able to dismiss genuine site notices. Green Tentacle (Talk) 16:21, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
- The userpage stuff worked great. Thanks again. What should I put in the JS to make it work? My MediaWiki man has been inactive since the beginning of summer, so I'm scavanging for help. :) Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 18:38, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
- Not that easy. For one thing, it'd come back as soon as you changed page. Green Tentacle (Talk) 21:33, September 27, 2010 (UTC)

John Williams Tribute
Hello. I was told by Jonjedimaster to ask you to if ten million hits on YouTube would count for being notable in Star Wars fandom. I'm refering to the famous John Williams Tribute. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 21:41, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
- Famous it may be, but it obviously hasn't reached me yet. Link? Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:18, September 28, 2010 (UTC)
- Chack Jadson said it's probably not notable, but just search for John Williams Tribute on YouTube. I prefer the one with the four guys in red, but that one's not the ten million-hit-one. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 17:32, September 28, 2010 (UTC)

Hello. I was wonderin' if you might be able to get the Music infobox to have the headings disappear like other infoboxes. Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 12:50, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- They were already hideable except for samples. Should all be now. Green Tentacle (Talk) 21:31, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
- How come I see them even though there is no info underneath them? Master Fredcerique Begun the Clone Wars has † 16:37, October 1, 2010 (UTC)

Shortcuts and forums
Hello. In order to get the shortcuts to work, do you have to do something to MediaWiki? MasterFred20px(Whatever) 17:36, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Also, do you know much about forums? MasterFred20px(Whatever) 18:34, October 12, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, been out of town. Do you mean the keyboard shortcuts for recent changes, etc? They should just work as far as I know. Or do you mean the ones like WP:FAN? Those need JavaScript. I may know some things about forums. Give me a specific question and I'll tell you whether I know the answer. Green Tentacle (Talk) 17:40, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

- They're done by the same bit of JS that does the era icons. Replace the genre tags section in your Common.js with:

function loadTitleDivs()
{
loadTitleDiv('title-genres');
loadTitleDiv('title-shortcut');
}
addOnloadHook(loadTitleDivs);
// Adapted from Wookieepedia
function loadTitleDiv(className)
{
var genreDiv = document.getElementById(className);
if (genreDiv == null || genreDiv == undefined) return;
var cloneNode = genreDiv.cloneNode(true);
var firstHeading;
var h1Tags = document.getElementsByTagName('h1');
for (i = 0; i < h1Tags.length; i++)
{
if (h1Tags[i].getAttribute('class') == 'firstHeading')
{
firstHeading = h1Tags[i];
break;
}
}
if (firstHeading == null || firstHeading == undefined) return;
firstHeading.insertBefore(cloneNode, firstHeading.childNodes[0]);
cloneNode.style.display = "block";
}
When the page loads, this should run the loadTitleDivs function which calls loadTitleDiv twice to load first the genre icons then the shortcuts. It's not exactly the same as Wookieepedia's and I haven't been able to test it on your wiki so let me know if it doesn't work. Green Tentacle (Talk) 18:04, October 15, 2010 (UTC)
- Oops, sorry about the delay. I forgot about this conversation, really. :P I added it, but I'll have to wait until I'm on a computer where it'll show up. This computer doesn't show the genre/era tags and such. MasterFred20px(Whatever) 18:38, October 18, 2010 (UTC)
