  • Frankly, I don't see the blasters; as for the energy torpedo launchers, you can't exactly see the launchers themselves from the exteriors. Grand Moff Tranner (My personal comlink) 19:30, 11 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, they are there, for a higher depth image watch ICS and freeze it about that frame, all weapons are apparent. The Torpedo launchers are the slits on the central hull as labeled on all other vulture droid diagrams on the main page. Atredies 07:53, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

  • I will repeat what I said before: I don't see the blasters, and the energy torpedo launchers (assuming they are there) would be inside the body of the fighter and not visible from the outside. I'm normally not a rude person, but please stop complaining on my talk page. Grand Moff Tranner (My personal comlink) 15:19, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Crescent-X9

It's cannon, I like the old one more but this new one is cannon I guess that new sources outway old ones. (Thunderer 04:52, 6 June 2008 (UTC))

  • New sources don't necessarily outweigh older ones. I think that the designation may be something along the lines of "Crescent-X9 Coruscant-class heavy courier" or "Coruscant-class Crescent-X9 heavy courier," because I doubt that they'd just throw out the "Coruscant-class" designation. Grand Moff Tranner 20px (Comlink) 11:44, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Your speaking as if their's a reason for the new source not to override the old one sorry but if you don't share I can't agree with you. I hate to be the one to say it but.... we can't use speculation so the name will apear as it does in the actual source the old name will be included in the behind the scenes area. If you still take issue I would skip me and go to WP:TOTJ Thanks for your veiw point. (Thunderer 05:17, 7 June 2008 (UTC))

Ozzel (uh, the article)

OK, I'm not going to say "Well, it's a good start" because that always sounds so deflating. :P I think what you've got there is most of the "meat" of the article, but I think you'll probably need to hunt a bit...deeper for content, and tidbits of info. The P/T could probably do with a bit more info, and there's just some little things, off the top of my head, like information on Ozzel from Piett's entry in GG3. Things like that. Sometimes you'll have to think outside the box as to where your info is coming from. You'll need to completely source your infobox and your BTS, and make sure you squeeze every little bit of information out of every available source, without turning it into a play-by-play. You'll have an uphill battle on the FAN page, I can tell you now. But stick at it, you're doing a good job, and all power to you for working on a topic like this. :) If you have any more questions, just let me know. Thefourdotelipsis 09:01, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

  • I have access to it, and if you come on IRC I should be able to help you out in that regard. Thefourdotelipsis 11:50, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
    • Hey, I just wanted to offer to help you out if you need anything, seeing as I have a personal affinity for the subject matter. ;-) I've never had the urge to fix up this whole article myself, but I'm really glad someone else has. So if you need anything, like help on the BTS, or checking sources, or just proofing, or anything, I'd be happy to help. -- Ozzel 01:33, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
  • I'm so sorry, I forgot to respond to you before. At a glance, you need to make sure you have no really short paragraphs, unless you really need to. It might also do to try and work a little bit more out of ESB. Also, I seem to remember that there's a bit of antagonism between Piett and Ozzel, from Galaxy Guide 3. I can't seem to find that info in the article, but if you've got it well and good. It still feels...well, short, but not knowing the source material well enough, I might not be the best judge in that area. I think the best thing to do would be to put it up for nomination, and work through each and every objection. By the time you're done with them, who knows, the article might feel longer. But there are little things, you know...this is more of an expansion rather than a rewrite of the original article, which is not something I wholeheartedly recommend...I generally think it's best to delve into the all the source material again yourself, even if the info was there in the first place. This is generally because then your whole article, well...is your work, so to speak. That's not to say you own it, but the whole thing flows in your style, and it just ends up reading a lot better. It's up to you. If you feel confident, take the plunge, as long as you know that you will work for it. If you don't feel confident, just keep tinkering until you do. I wish I could give you more specific guidance than this, but as I say, I'm not, at the moment, as familiar with the source material as I should be. Thefourdotelipsis 11:38, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
  • If you're working on Ozzel, you might want to list it under Work-in-Progress on the Project Ambition page. Also, I'm sure that the project would be willing to help, afterall I had intended for Ozzel to be one of our later projects, and I even tidied up his article not too long ago.--Mitth'raw'nuruodo(Imperial HoloNet)20px 11:37, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Appearances vs. Sources

Per your request to move "Star Wars PocketModels TCG" references to a "Sources" section, no problem. Sorry about the delay, but I've fixed the ones (most of them) that I've added, as well as a few that I've found that others have put in. Thanks for the heads up. Gethralkin 06:24, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Big Deal?

"I answered all your questions. I don't know why you're making such a big deal out of this." - Grand Moff Tranner

I posted a lot of questions directed at you in the D'Astan Starfighter discussion area. Very few were answered at all in a way that is constructive. Acbar finally answered me and gave me a response that was helpful. It seems like you are making this a big deal and need to "calm down". I am responding to the above quote here because your remark about a "big deal" is very much off topic for the D'Astan Starfighter and does not contribute to the subject matter in any way.

I would kindly ask that you keep personal remarks directed at me posted either here or in my personal user talk area please. Thank you in advance for your compliance.

I can do better than just summarising the fact file for you - I can provide you with a scan of the pages if you would prefer. Just send me an email through my account, and I'll send one back with the files attached. I would do it direct to you, but there is no way of attaching the files through Wikia's email link. Ozzel objections

Hey, Grand Moff Tranner. Just to let you know that I struck my objections to Ozzel, but I left some more for you, mainly regarding expansion of Allegiance material, and a structural issue. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 12:04, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Kendal Ozzel

I was reading through the Star Wars Adventure Journal 12 last night and found something interesting in regard to Ozzel. In one of the NewsNet articles, it mentions that Ozzel was actually in command of the Death Squadron before the Executor was commissioned. He attended the commissioning ceremony, and was expected to transfer his flag to the Executor once it joined up with Death Squadron. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 11:20, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Ozzel objections (part 2)

Hey, Grand Moff Tranner; I'm bringing this to your talk page to save clogging up the FAN page. Basically, here is my reasoning for the expansion - as I said, context is everything. We need to know why Teardrop was important, and what occured there. Yes, we can click the link and see for ourselves, but there should be a brief explanation of it in the article. Also, saying that the Falcon escaped the planet without first informing us it was there (or why) means that the mention of it feels disconnected. As for Dreflin, you mention he was killed, but offer us no reason why he was killed. As for the mention of the Falcon at the pirate, if Ozzel chose to pursue it, its relevant.

While these events do not connect to Ozzel himself, they connect to what Ozzel was doing at the time, and why he did it. The information doesn't need to be a lot, but it should be included. Take my first FA, Horzao Darr for instance. I had to include information on the background of a planet's society, and a New Republic mission that had nothing to do with the character. However, it provided vital background information for the article.

Also, I added an image of the Executor to the article and rejigged the last image a little to break up the wall of text. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 13:56, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

  • I added some small bits and clarified a few sections within the article. Also, I just noticed that you need to source the succession box at the bottom of the article as well. I'm posting it here rather than the FAN page, but it is a requirement that needs to be addressed. - Cavalier One(Squadron channel) 15:12, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

  • OK, I just checked through The Far Orbit Project, and there isn't anything in there that isn't already in the Grand Admiral Teshik article. The only mention I could find of him was on page 103 where it says (referring to the capture of Advisor Coh Veshiv): "The Emperor himself has taken an interest in Ringali Shell piracy and has privately vowed to eliminate Grand Admiral Teshik-who is charged with Core World space security-if the embarrassing situation is not dealt with decisively and immediately." Is the ship from the Guardian illustration identified as that? It looked like that early sketch which was identified as an ISD in the early SW sourcebook. The VSD doesn't have that kind of elongated command tower. VT-16 21:06, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Re:User talk:Graestan

I'll review the article once it's passed Toprawa's and AdmirableAckbar's reviews. I trust both of those users to ensure quality with some regularity, and seeing their names as outstanding objections is a strike against my reviewing it. I'd like to, though, as Ozzel is a movie character. Graestan(Talk) 00:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

    • No problem. I still suggest you ask Darth Culator or Green Tentacle to go through with AWB and relink the article. It couldn't hurt since it has undergone many edits. Also, browse Death Star when you get the chance, I think there might be an indirect mention of Ozzel in the text. If I come across it, I'll let you know, but I don't own the book so I may not have it for a while. Master Aban Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 22:16, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Star Dreadnaught

I understand that but I'm simply asking where is it refferd to as that, not in I, Jedi or any of the X-wing book series so where does that rename come into play as those books call it a Super class Star destroyer. Ryan Fett (For Mandalore!)20px 01:31, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Why did you delete my edits to The battle of Geonosis

Why did you delete my edits to The battle of Geonosis? I did math and since only 30 troops could be in a laat/i then there couldn't be 192,000 trooper in geonosis T-573 19:47, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Re: Yularen

There is no source because it's self-sourcing. The film Sutâurufu is obscure, but anyone familiar with both it and Wullf Yularen would conclude that some Decipher employee very likely was a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000 (that episode having aired four years prior to Decipher releasing the line with Yularen's card in it), and gave the unnamed white-clad guy that name as an homage. (Also probably sort of an insult, since Sutâurufu rips off Star Wars in a few pretty embarrassing ways.) The only way to be more conclusive about that particular BTS item would be if we had the means to determine who wrote that card/named the character, and I don't think we do. CSW Ozzel

Before I forget, I thought I'd leave you a little note. This mustachioed Ozzel lookalike also appears in Doom Mission, the next issue after Revenge of the Jedi, during the attack run Luke and Vrad Dodonna make with the power gem. Vader refers to him as an admiral. Our Doom Mission article even lists Ozzel in the character's list, but I'm not sure if we can safely treat him as such. Consequently, I believe I'm going to create a new article for this character as I progress on the Executor article. Toprawa and Ralltiir 20:59, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

  • Hey, Tranner. If you've got some time, I'd like to talk with you in IRC about this whole Ozzel/Executor/Death Squadron mess. Toprawa and Ralltiir 16:17, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
    • Ah, I wish you wouldn't have left. After speaking with GT, it seems like the ceremony should indeed be placed in 2 ABY. The NewsNet article is released on the date "37:10:23," which is its year-month-day date format. "37" indicates the year 2 ABY (see the article) as a result of ReSynchronization dating. Since there are 10 months in the Coruscant calendar, as I understand it, this would place the ceremony in very late 2 ABY, almost 3 ABY, as disturbing as that may be. I was wrong in my interpretation of the Rufaan Tigellinus article; Acky does place it, along with Thrawn, it 2 ABY. As strange it might be that the Executor is therefore in service for almost 3 years before its unveiling, it does make sense. It seems this dating is done in reference to the original WEG information from Galaxy Guide 3, which states that, including the Executor, 4 SSDs entered service by the Battle of Hoth, which indeed this NewsNet article explains: "Three additional Super-class Star Destroyers are in their final phases of construction at undisclosed locations, according to Navy officials. They are scheduled to enter service over the next 16 months." I think it would indeed be best to place this as is, in both the Ozzel and Executor articles. Any confusion over when the Executor actually joins with Death Squadron and goes to the Outer Rim to join the hunt for the Rebel base can be chalked up to something akin to propaganda, media unknowing, etc. Toprawa and Ralltiir 18:26, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
