Welcome, Darth Grieve!Hello and welcome to Wookieepedia. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
Wookieepedia aspires to be a reliable source for all Star Wars fans to read and draw information from, and as such, fan-created continuity and fan fiction are not allowed within our articles. All in-universe material must be attributable to a reliable, published source. Do not remove talk page and forum comments, including your own, as they are part of the public record. Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~. For an optimal viewing experience, Wookieepedia recommends using the Monobook skin. For help changing your skin preference, see Help:Skin. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wookieepedian! If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Senate Hall, visit our official IRC channel, or ask me on my talk page. May the Force be with you! —Imperators II(Talk) 22:23, April 30, 2011 (UTC) |
Hey
Hey, glad to see you've registered. I'd say the changes are good, and if nobody's reverted them, chances are they're okay with it. I don't have the exact quote about the Jedi and Tatooine, which is why I haven't added it to that article. Many users list their collection in their userpage, though, so you may be able to track down someone who has the Ultimate Visual Guide. Cheers!—Axinal Convocation Chamber 01:37, April 28, 2011 (UTC)
Re:Force-using "superheros"
I will pop in here to answer your question iwth two examples. Firstly, Jacen Solo became one with the Force during the liberation of Coruscant to defeat Onimi—this counts as increasing one's physical capabilities, as he was able to withstand the toxins thrown at him. Secondly, Savage Opress was transformed by the Nightsisters' Force mastery into a more brutal warrior during the Clone Wars. Hope this helps!—TK-999

Re:help
To make an appearances section, use two equal signs on either side of the word (==Appearances==}, much like you'd see at the start of each section if you edit a talk page. To create a link, which appears in blue letters (or sometimes purple if you use monobook), use two brackets on either side of the word, and use a pipe to change the text you want to display. ([[Name of page|text you want to display]]. Edit your talk page to see how I did this. In Appearances sections, though, you generally won't want to change the text.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 11:45, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
Warning
| User warning: Fanon.
Please do not add your own fan-fiction to Wookieepedia articles. If you continue to add fanon to the site, you will be banned. Your input might be more welcome at the Star Wars Fanon Wiki.Grand Moff Tranner |
Force Aware
The page is fixed. The next time you create a page, just look at how that page or another page is formatted, and learn from it.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 22:15, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Grieve! So is the name of this power written "Force Aware" or "Force aware"? Imperators II(Talk) 22:19, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
- It would be pretty cool if you could check it sometime and perhaps even quote it. Cheers! Imperators II(Talk) 22:24, April 30, 2011 (UTC)
Re:Alert
Go to this page. Click on the Edit button at the top. Do not actually edit the page, please, but take a look at how its written, and how the Appearances section is formatted. Use that same formatting in your page, and I bet you can fix the article yourself.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 11:07, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
Links
How did you try adding links? When linking to articles on this wiki, you should use this format:
[[pagename goes here]]
. You might also want to take a look at the Manual of Style.—TK-999
(Rise of the Empire) 17:03, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
- As TK said. Take a look at how I fixed Force Aware. If you click on "Edit", you'll be able to see exactly how the Appearances section is written out. Follow that format in Obscure (Mind Affecting) and Rend (Dark Side), and you can fix the article.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 17:52, May 1, 2011 (UTC)
Warning
I'm going to repeat the warning I left on your IP's talk page, with the added emphasis that continued failure will result in a block from editing: "I suggest you take the time to make sure that all new articles you create are up to Wookieepedia's standards and follow all site policies. Continued failure to do so may result in a block from editing. Thank you for your cooperation." Grand Moff Tranner (Comlink) 21:37, May 2, 2011 (UTC)
- You have been notified and warned multiple times now about formal article standard policies and the required necessity of adhering to them, yet you continue to neglect to do so. The policies have been linked and explained to you. Now it's your responsibility to read, learn, and adapt. If you continue to fail to adhere to Wookieepedia article policies, you will be blocked from editing by an administrator. Thank you for your cooperation. Toprawa and Ralltiir 04:33, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
Re: Help
I don't have the Legacy Era Campaign Guide, or the Clone Wars Campaign Guide, so the most I can do is Wookify the articles to fit within the Manual of Style. Sorry. Trak Nar Ramble on 04:18, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
- The links that were provided were from a fansite, as was stated by Toprawa and Ralltiir, and thus were removed. Since I don't have the sources listed, I can't confirm them myself, and thus can't remove the tag. As I said above, the most I can do is Wookify the articles. Sorry. Your best bet is to ask Toprawa why the links to that particular outside source were removed. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:00, May 3, 2011 (UTC)
Blocked
You have been blocked from editing for 1 week, for repeated failure to adhere to site policies. Properly creating articles is not a difficult thing to do, yet you've managed to consistently screw it up despite help from multiple users. The Wookieepedia userbase does not exist solely to fix your mistakes, many of which would have taken a minute to fix had you put the effort into it. Your constant disruption has earned you this block. I advise you to take this opportunity to study up on Wookieepedia's policies so that when this block expires, I won't have to re-block you for the same thing. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Grand Moff Tranner

Picture
Go to Special:Upload. Just make sure you follow the instructions, provide a source, a description, and choose the proper licensing info.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 22:40, May 10, 2011 (UTC)
Source
The post was written by a fan. Despite the fact that they're all probably true, because the post was not written by an official like George Lucas or Leland Chee. In addition, when you source, you need to do it in a reference rather than just linking he title in the text. For example, look at the reference at the end of the first sentence of that paragraph, and compare it to the way you write it.—Axinal Convocation Chamber 11:20, May 11, 2011 (UTC)
Second block
You have been blocked from editing for 2 months, for repeated failure to properly create articles and disruption. To contest this block, please contact the blocking administrator with the reason you believe the block is unjustified. Grand Moff Tranner
