3630 BBY

I have noticed that you keep putting events of KOTET in 3630 BBY. This is incorrect, because on Iokath Quinn says it has been "six years, eight months and twelve days" since the disappearance of Sith Warrior, and Elera likewise says it's been six years for the Trooper. If we assume 3637 BBY to be correct date for the First skirmish with the Eternal Fleet, then six years from that puts Iokath and everything that preceedes it in 3631 BBY at the latest. The template that you use is based on a tweet, but tweets should not be treated as official sources, and even if they were, the game itself contradicts it. I think we should go by what the game says, especially since the tweet mentions real time approximation for Ilum-to-KOTFE only. What do you think? --77.111.244.60 09:42, January 29, 2018 (UTC)

  • If the problem is that template usage is required, can I just correct the template itself? I have already tried that some time ago, but my changes were reverted. There are just so many reasons why basing the timeline on that tweet is wrong, especially when the game itself provides more accurate dating. --77.111.244.26 08:44, January 30, 2018 (UTC)

It doesn't change the fact that they along with Kanan have images that clash with the infoboxs and on pages with little to no info plus you and Lewisr had left out one issue in your hunt the other day and legends can do some rearrangement as well seeing as the order is no better than canon was.--Rgilbert27 (talk) 06:12, February 18, 2018 (UTC)

RE: Nexus of Power

I was under the impression that since Ilum is a canon subject, and pretty ingrained in canon, that anything relating to it would be the same? I understand that the Tython/Auratera/Empress Teta topics from Nexus of Power aren't canon because two of those worlds were only recently introduced, and Auratera wasn't ever canon until Nexus of Power. So it only applies for things like Bardotta or Aleen, since they were canon before? Solo Novel

Hey Ruiz, nah its cool no worries, you did what I was going to do anyway so no harm done! --Lewisr (talk) 23:15, March 29, 2018 (UTC)

Reason for my changes

  • The reason I keep reducing the number of commanders is because I'm thinking in terms of overall theatre commanders. So unless a source puts them in as a theatre commander, its just too many captains on deck and we might as well place every officer, pilot or soldier who served as a commander. This way is much cleaner and easier in my opinion.--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 07:56, April 2, 2018 (UTC)
    • When it comes to squadron leaders I can see it for Yavin and Hoth but for Scarif and Endor it would just be too much - General Merrick was in charge of the Yavin 4's starfighter contingent which means he is a theatre commander at Scarif, and Lando was in charge of the starfighter forces at Endor. As to Motti, Bast and Yularen, we know they are aboard the Death Star but we don't see them command anything and there is no source for them too, same with Willard, Hudsol and Leia (Willard and Hudsol were under Dodonna's command while Leia is just a spectator in the battle). Micha Evon I'm willing to give way on but to be honest he'd be under Rieekan or Ledick Firest's overall command. Montferrat, Needa and Lennox would be under Ozzel and Piett's overall command. We know Rex was at Endor but he hasn't been established as being in command of any unit yet. Madine and Hera, meanwhile, just command one ship under Ackbar's overall command and Cracken is simply a gunner under Lando regardless of his rank. Derlin and Leia would be under Han's command. Chirpa is overall commander of the Ewok forces. It's about who is overall command based on on-screen evidence and sources I can find.--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 08:26, April 2, 2018 (UTC)

Versio at Endor

  • Hi, the reason I remove Versio from the commanders list is because he isn't the overall naval theatre commander. The reason I cleared it out was to show overall theatre commanders (Piett vs. Ackbar, Calrissian as leader of the fighter wings, Dyer and Hewex vs. Han and Chirpa on Endor) otherwise it was just cluttered and hard to follow. From what appears on-screen in Star Wars Battlefront II, Versio commanded just one ship at the Endor, the Eviscerator. That would imply he served under Piett's overall naval command. Also the reason why Sloane has late battle next to her name is because she assumed command of the fleet after Piett's death as shown in "The Levers of Power". Those are my reasons for the change and I'm attempting to open up a discussion on this in the Senate Hall forums. And I also when I get a spare chance am going to clear out the Legends commanders lists as well to deal with overall theatre commanders.--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 14:20, April 9, 2018 (UTC)

hi darthruiz30, I seen something on the internet about the death star being 160 km 99.4 miles, I did see it, It was made by an author, I'm just replying to what you said about that being the source.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

I think it was an official source, but it could be or not, I seen this on the images of it on the internet. it compared the death star II 200 km 124 miles death star 160 km 99.4 miles, maybe you can search for it on google or something. but you don't have to use it, since it couldn't be official or not. it looked like it was edited by an article, if I could send you a picture of it. I would.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

also, it had all the technicial specifications for both death stars. it is related to canon.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

ok i found the information, but it may be official from something different, amazon, but it's a picture. that possibly could be used.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

it comes from a official book called star wars encyclopedia and other vehicles. it says that the death star is 160 km 99 miles, the second death star is 200 km 124 miles. i also have a official star wars death star poster it says 160 km 99.4 miles.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

here is the last thing i have to say, you can still say that 160km is 100 miles. but it is between 160.94 km and 160.99 km, which resluts in 100 miles. i found a website called calculateme.com. this is where i found this information. so you can still say 160 km is 100 miles. because from what i've seen. i searched 160 km to miles, this was one of the results i found.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

hi, i know i've sent you way too many questions, but there is one more, did pablo hidalgo use the spheroid for the VFX diameter. because if not, it should be used as a spheroid, that's in my opinion. i know that the sphere should be used, but what if the spheroid was correct for the VFX diameter.Unsigned comment by DarthVader52005 (talk • contribs)

in legends, the death star was a sphere, but you can say that in canon too? but before that. i agree with what pablo hidalgo wrote. so you may never see those edits by me again ok? i would rather you editors edit things yourselves. like i was saying. does it really matter what you call it, i just know it said spheroid before it was edited to sphere, but i will agree with it being a sphere, spheroid was the original edit. would someone edit it back to spheroid by any chance?

SWTOR 5.1 onward is still KOTET

Hi. I noticed that you've been changing elements introduced to SWTOR from Update 5.2 onward to list only the base game instead of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion. This is incorrect because we are still in the current expansion cycle until Update 6.0 hits. The loading screen still shows KOTET poster, and Charles Boyd explicitly called it the end of KOTET on his twitter. For comparison, everything from 4.1 to 4.8 is still obviously part of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Knights of the Fallen Empire and not the base game and is listed as such, it would be weird if 5.0 was the expansion but then further additions to it in 5.1 suddenly reverted back to the base game. This is not exclusive to TOR, other MMOs are always being treated as their latest expansion until the next one hits, regardless of interrim updates. --77.111.246.6 08:36, May 8, 2018 (UTC)

  • But Chapters 10-16 are treated as part of KOTFE, and not the base game, even though they were released after 4.0. Expansion content means not just strictly what was released on launch date, but also every subsequent update until the next expansion. You can't even play Chapter 10 without doing the main KOTFE content, just like you can't do Ziost without finishing SOR first. It's a universal practice in the game industry to call the games with Expansion Packs by the latest expansion name, when referring to the current state of the game. In case of SWTOR, it means that Updates 4.0.1 onwards are part of KOTFE expansion, 5.0.1 are part KOTET expansion and so forth. Not to mention, that it looks extremely weird when Indo Zal first appears in KOTET and then appears in the main game; it doesn't make sense chronologically because he was never part of the base game or pre-ROTHC updates. --77.111.246.6 07:21, May 10, 2018 (UTC)
    • But the expansion includes not just the main story, but every related gameplay activity as well: Eternal Championship is part of KOTFE even though it wasn't released until 4.3, and second wave Uprisings are part of KOTET despite being released with 5.1. Look at it from the subscription standpoint: if you're F2P or former sub, then without access to SOR you can't do Ziost, without access to KOTFE you can't do Eternal Championship and without access to KOTET you can't do Uprisings, Iokath or the new flashpoints. That clearly indicates where each piece of content falls. --77.111.246.6 10:08, May 10, 2018 (UTC)

Star Wars Annual 4 placement

Hi DarthRuiz, I would like to discuss the chronological placement of Star Wars Annual 4 if you have time. I was recently really digging into the first issues of Marvel's main Star Wars comics while I was preparing to nominate EE-4 blaster rifle for GA status. Those first issues up to Star Wars 8 have a really consecutive order of events, leaving no space for another mission beween two issues. Anyway, I probably got ahead of myself, I shouldn't have made that call before at least putting it into a discussion. But I believe that it would be safe to move the Annual at least before Star Wars 6 since it is the issue where Sana and Han's confontration begins, and Star Wars 8 depicts its continuation.
