Canon/Legends Separate Templates

Hi DarthRuiz30,

I wanted how I need to make in order to have Canon/Legends templates, the templates which separate the article's Canon counterpart and its Legends counterpart (example: Boba Fett/Canon and Boba Fett/Legends).

I have found some articles which also have a Canon counterpart and I want to create their Canon counterpart pages.

Thanks! Unsigned comment by X9 The Android (talk • contribs)

Arvira

So, just to clarify, you want to know where in "The Sith of Datawork" it says Arvira is female because an anon user deleted the info? Well, for one, the last line of the story is, to paraphrase, "she expanded her web of influence". If you check, Arvira is consistently referred to with female pronouns, because it's third person limited omniscient POV focussing on her. Cheers! SilverSunbird (talk) 23:37, October 14, 2017 (UTC)

Question

Why are you undoing my work, respectfully? Just let me known what I am doing wrong. Unsigned comment by Kyler02 (talk • contribs)

7.1 New message

The Siolo'urmanka page is incorrect. Please read the talk section for the character's page as well as the page we are discussing - The Jentares System. I do not have the capability to change the title of the character page. If you go to that page and read what I wrote, then you'll understand. There is no official source that spells the name as "Siolo'urmanks". If you look at the bottom for References, you'll see that the creator sourced the Galactic Campaign Guide. The Guide discusses how Twi'leks use apostrophes for their names. Although the meaning of Siolo's name is listed (only "Siolo"), no where is the entire name of Siolo'urmanka published in that guide or anywhere else. The character's Wookieepedia page is incorrect. Again, I have no idea how to change the title. Red Heathen (talk) 02:36, October 17, 2017 (UTC)

1) Thank you for updating the sources to reflect that title. However, 2) that is a 2005 source. The last official source that has Siolo Ur Manka's name published (that I can find) is the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia v2, which was published in 2008. It should take precedence. Also, it is very hard to search for that name, but I am not sure if that is a reason for changing a Wookieepedia page.Red Heathen (talk) 05:05, October 17, 2017 (UTC)

  • that should have been "The Complete SW Enc."Red Heathen (talk) 06:18, October 17, 2017 (UTC)

The rebellion

Hey man, just want to say that it was not for my intention to bring up all this about getting rid of the rebellion page, was just literally to try get pages like rebel pilot (rebellion) etc merged together, sorry if it ends up coming to it going as I know you put great work into the page --Lewisr (talk) 21:56, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

  • Seems to be heading that way, just want to say that if the page ended up staying I would be okay with it, hope you don't go but if you do then I understand --Lewisr (talk) 23:00, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

Scarif change

Can I ask why you reverted my change. As I explained, I only saw 3 frigates in one shot and 2 in just about every other. Can you please provide a screenshot to prove there are 4 present at Scarif?--Shannon, Jedi Knight (talk) 08:39, November 10, 2017 (UTC)

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story scrapped Marvel Comics prequel three-issue miniseries

Hi DarthRuiz30. Thanks for the Canon/Legends Template answer. A question, I find this links that reveal a Marvel Comics three-issues comic book prequel series to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. However, I'm in question if it deserves an own article, as, although it said that it was to be a three-part series, the cover is identical to the Marvel's comic book series that started with Rogue One, Part I in 2017, a six-issue series. It was the same project that was scrapped and later brought from the "death" of development hell or just another separate project with the same cover that I saw ulikely?

Here are the Links (aren't in order): http://www.digitalspy.com/comics/star-wars/news/a794885/rogue-one-a-star-wars-story-prequel-series-cancelled/, http://comicbook.com/starwars/2016/05/17/star-wars-rogue-one-prequel-comicbook-cancelled/, https://io9.gizmodo.com/marvels-rogue-one-comic-is-a-prequel-to-a-prequel-1765753659, https://io9.gizmodo.com/marvels-rogue-one-prequel-comic-may-not-be-happening-af-1777176608, http://comicbook.com/2016/05/17/star-wars-rogue-one-prequel-comicbook-cancelled/, http://comicbook.com/2016/03/18/marvel-comics-launching-rogue-one-a-star-wars-story-mini-series/ and https://io9.gizmodo.com/marvels-rogue-one-comic-adaptation-will-include-materia-1791296559. webcomics

Hey Darth! Noticed you've updated Heir to the Jedi (webcomic) and Lords of the Sith (webcomic). I've added the unknown status tag because I haven't heard anything since the announcement, but it's clear they came on time. So, I guess they could be removed? Do you have any screenshots of them. The site is inaccessible outside of Japan. I've tried some VPNs but they don't seem to work.--ZapikCZ (talk) 16:19, December 6, 2017 (UTC)

  • From the original announcement I thought we'd get to see some of the submissions, was that not the case? Also, I didn't think they'd choose the same author for both.--ZapikCZ (talk) 19:10, December 6, 2017 (UTC)
    • Can I see them even if I'm not in Japan. You userpage says you live in Mexico, so if that's still true, can I know how you saw it? Thanks.--ZapikCZ (talk) 20:57, December 6, 2017 (UTC)

Sorry about the edits

Hello, we had a little edit battle about the harrower dreadnought, and I was just trying to restore information that had existed for months prior to the 3,300 meters, which was based off of In-Game measurements of the SWTOR game, note: The Swtor game models would have to be bigger for the game, as if you were to notice and play the game, the people are roughly 30-35 meters away before you attack them. A single meter is 3.28 feet, and I don't think the Npcs or PCs in the game are fighting people at 3.28*30 or at over 900 feet apart. The Meele npcs also have a meele attack range of 5 meters, or 3.28 feet *5, which is over 12 feet away, so I don't think a lightsaber's blade can hit someone from over 12 feet way.

Hyperspace Tracker

In full agreement about the Hyperspace tracking; I didn't realise that the page referred to tracking a ship WITHOUT placing a tracker on it. Do you think it would be worth changing the wording to make this more explicit? Or mentioning the alternate tracking method? As it stands, I assumed that a device you placed on a ship to track it through Hyperspace would be classed as a Hyperspace tracker. What do you think? 109.156.55.68 09:31, December 20, 2017 (UTC)

Onderonian civil war

If we're going to merge Siege of Iziz then we should also do it for Assault on the Onderon insurgent camp, Rescue of Ramsis Dendup, Riots in Iziz, and Battle of the Onderonian highlands.--Vitus InfinitusTalk 04:42, December 23, 2017 (UTC)

No problem! If I see anything I'll make the necessary changes! I figured that you was so good luck for it :) --Lewisr (talk) 02:23, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

  • Just took a look through, looks good! Though if you want to nominate for status you may have to source things like Mandator IV-class Siege Dreadnought, TIE silencer etc to the cross sections/visual dictionary if they aren't named in the film. Also, are we certain the Resistance dropped straight out of hyperspace into the Crait system? The article says they do but it isn't mentioned in the infobox --Lewisr (talk) 03:12, December 29, 2017 (UTC)
    • I would just remove it to be honest --Lewisr (talk) 03:17, December 29, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Bomber image

Hi, about your question, I'm not sure what you mean, or why the deletion tag was added to the image. That image is a screenshot from The Last Jedi of an Unidentified Bomber pilot (at least unidentified for now). Please explain. Banana32 (talk) 19:13, December 28, 2017 (UTC)

Question

Hi, I know you aren't an administrator, but you seem to have a lot of experience. Can I create three articles for unidentified Resistance pilots? One for the pilot of the Anodyne. Another for a Transport pilot. And the third for a Resistance Bomber pilot. All three will be imageless till the film's DVD/Blue-Ray release however. Also, if they aren't too minor to have articles, could you leave the creation of them to me? Thanks, because I really want to create them. Banana32 (talk) 02:23, December 30, 2017 (UTC)

  • Okay. The Transport pilot was seen in holographic form with Vice Admiral Holdo. His quote is: "We're taking fire, should we turn around.", or at least something like that. The last one is Paige's Bomber's pilot. That pilot with the darker skin and pencil-thin mustache who yells, "Look out!", or something like that. He also has at least one other quote. Sorry, I should have clarified those two pilots. Also, it should be noted that pages for Two unidentified pilots exist: Unidentified Blue Squadron pilot and [[Unidentified Blue Squadron pilot 2]]. Banana32 (talk) 02:33, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
    • I believe that if any are ever named in the future, we can always rename the pages. Even so, I'll hold off with the Bomber pilot for now. Banana32 (talk) 02:41, December 30, 2017 (UTC)
      • Thanks! That's okay, I can wait. Banana32 (talk) 02:47, December 30, 2017 (UTC)

Spectres

The Ghost crew is still active after Star Wars Rebels Season Four. Matt Martin says these rebels participate in the Battle of Scarif.

--02:44, December 31, 2017 (UTC)

  • Just Hera and Chopper so far, that doesn't mean that the Spectres as a military unit is still active, just like Hera appearing on the Forces of Destiny episode we didn't add Spectres because we don't know if the unit is still active at that time, if the comic refers to Hera as Spectres then its fine to add it--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 05:21, December 31, 2017 (UTC)
    • I'm aware it's just a third of their rebel cell, but Martin does refer to them as "the Ghost crew," which is another name for the Spectres. --06:21, December 31, 2017 (UTC)

Iden

Hello,

I added Iden Versio's birthdate to her page, and you removed it. I also added it to the page for said birthdate, and you removed it from there as well. The Inferno Squad book states at the beginning of Chapter 2 that Gideon Hask's age at the time of the Battle of Yavin is 27, and that Iden is five years younger than him. That would make her birthdate 21 BBY. I'm certainly not trying to be rudely confrontational, but I'm just wondering why you took it down.Unsigned comment by Kiwid10t (talk • contribs)

RE: User

  • Hi, DarthRuiz. I took a look at that this morning before having to leave for work and from what I could find online, broadcasted and broadcast are both accepted as past tense, although broadcast is more commonly used. To be honest as I type this my computer has highlighted broadcasted as not being a word. I plan on looking into it more when I get home, but broadcast might be better? That or it's down to preference, in which case I'm not clear on what our stance would be. Ayrehead02 (talk) 16:14, January 2, 2018 (UTC)

  • I just saw your creation summary on Battle of Mamkoda and I don't think it should be considered a cold war battle since, at least based on the info on the page, it doesn't involve the First Order. - Brandon Rhea(talk) 21:55, January 20, 2018 (UTC)
    • I didn't add too much info, but technically the pirates were supported by the FO which supplied them with weapons. This was a tactic so the FO could "rescue" the sector, but the Resistance made their move against the pirates before the FO--DarthRuiz30 (talk) 21:58, January 20, 2018 (UTC)
      • In that case I think it would definitely qualify as a cold war battle. That sort of tactic is exactly what a cold war is all about! - Brandon Rhea(talk) 22:00, January 20, 2018 (UTC)

CT

If they're like [[Ottegru Grey/Canon]] where its just an appearance and no actual source other than the Leland Chee tweet I understand they can be deleted, pages that can be kept are ones that are named in comic scripts like Venk and things like that --Lewisr (talk) 18:40, January 21, 2018 (UTC)

  • If they've got other names which are on the page I think we should move them to that though, for things that don't have a source we'll wait and see if any new policy is made but lets say after a month or so and nothing has happened then either we raise the issue or just tag them to go --Lewisr (talk) 19:05, January 21, 2018 (UTC)
    • Of course I see what you mean, the only problem with that is that we could be holding out and it never actually happen so there has to come a time where we accept that the pages go. Let's wait and see what happens --Lewisr (talk) 19:14, January 21, 2018 (UTC)
