Rescue of Kota

Hey, CP. I was wondering if you might take a quick look at Menk's objection on Rescue of Rahm Kota. It has to do with the Wii version, which I don't have. It appears you have access to it, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!--Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 17:26, December 5, 2011 (UTC)

Barn-burner

Episode I 3D poster

Just wanted to encourage everyone participating in December's barn-burner on Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace to keep up the hard work! Only two articles have been passed, but five are currently nominated, and I suspect numerous projects are underway. The month is over halfway through, so we need to hurry and finish as many articles as we can before the end of the month. Keep writing and keep reviewing! Also, don't forget about the current CT on Databank entries in the "Sources" section, as many articles will have to be updated to meet the new criteria. I thank all of you for taking part in this project and working to make the site better for the release of The Phantom Menace in 3-D in February, and I'm confident the results will be satisfactory. Anyway, just keep...doing what you're doing. :P MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 20:24, December 21, 2011 (UTC)

Rescue of Rahm Kota

Hey Premier. Just a heads-up that I believe your objection to the Rescue of Rahm Kota FAN has been taken care of. Go and check it out. Cheers. Menkooroo 04:08, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

  • So you don't think it's too pbp? Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 15:49, December 31, 2011 (UTC)
    • That's for you to decide! :) If you think it is, feel free to leave another objection.

OK! Onto the battle droid. I think some more context is needed at the beginning about the Invasion of Naboo. Nothing too crazy, but a little bit about why the Trade Fed is there. The fact that this droid and his cronies are guarding a bunch of pilots should be mentioned, too. I think this could easily be GA length with some sort of "Programming" or "Personality" section. I'd also like to see it established just how Qui-Gon destroyed him (lightsaber, baby!).

Out of curiosity, what's the nature of his possible appearance? And one more thing: (Indirect mention only) and (In flashback(s)) don't go together. One indicates a mention, and the other an appearance. Which is correct? Menkooroo 21:20, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • Thanks for taking the time to look at it; I sectioned it off. In the TPM comic, its a "Possible appearance" because we see several battle droids from behind in that scene, but none of them have yellow markings. In "Kenobi," he mentions the scene in a flashback, but we don't see the droid. So, it's both? Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 22:58, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

However, it was in the middle of the night for me, so… feel free to send me an email or contact me on IRC when I'm not away (you can /whois Xd1358, it will say I'm marked away if I'm not at the computer). Hey, CP. The only thing I could find in the Atlas was in the fourth paragraph of page 82. It simply said that "Though separated by geography, the two societies had their own internal wars—a clash between Gungan bosses in 3000 BBY led to the establishment of the ruling city of Otoh Gunga..." Hope that helps. Cheers.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 21:28, February 13, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Corellian, you've been chosen the Wookieepedian of the Month! Congratulations. 1358 (Talk) 00:24, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

  • Congrats, Premier! You definitely deserve this. If you've been keeping your eye on the Main Page in the last couple of months, you'll have noticed that we've been interviewing each WOTM recipient for the Wookieepedia NewsNet. Would you mind if I interviewed you? The questions would be similar to those that were asked to Starsider and Hk. If it's OK, let me know! I can ask you here or via e-mail. Let me know what's better. Congratulations again! Menkooroo 02:57, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

      • My congrats from me as well, CP. And this is not an AFD joke. :P —Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 04:06, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
        • Feel free to answer these ten questions in as many or as few words as you'd like. Also, let me know if there are any pictures you'd like to include in the interview (see here and here for examples). Here goes:
  1. Congratulations on being voted April's Wookieepedian of the Month! How does it feel?
    • It feels great! I hadn't realized my work here had garnered so much attention before I saw my nomination...I was just happy to keep plugging along.
  2. You've added a lot of content to Wookieepedia that comes from various Star Wars video games. Have you always been a gamer? Which SW games are your favorites?
  3. I am definitely a gamer! Ever since I got an N64 way, way back...my favorite games would have to be Star Wars: Battle for Naboo, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, and Star Wars: Empire at War, just to name a couple! And I'm a member of WookieeProject:Video Games, and it's great working with the other project members.
  4. Outside of video games, do you follow the rest of the Expanded Universe? Do you have a favorite book, comic, or role playing game sourcebook?
  5. When and how did you first become a Star Wars fan?
    • Hmn. That would probably be when I saw the original trilogy on VHS (do people even know what that is now?). And seeing The Phantom Menace when it first came out definitely solidified things.
  6. You've written a number of Wookieepedia articles from Battle for Naboo and other games related to The Phantom Menace. Does that film, and the prequel era in general, interest you the most?
    • Back when I first started contributing, I noticed that Battle for Naboo hadn't got any love. So I dedicated myself to improving those articles. More recently, I got involved in the Barn Burner which concentrated just on The Phantom Menace. Even to this day I am still discovering sources for the project! I wouldn't say I favor the prequel trilogy, though. Each SW film has its own qualities, but Return of the Jedi is my preferred film, in fact.
  7. Tell us about your history as a member of the Wookieepedia community. When did you join? What kinds of edits did you initially make?
    • I really got involved back in August 2008, giving some love to Battle for Naboo topics. Looking back now, it was a bit of a rough start! I really dived in during the summer of 2010, when I got involved in the GA process, and working on making quality articles. I joined the Project: Video Games as soon as I saw had been created. And the rest, as they say, is history. Right now my current project is going through the strategy guides.
  8. In addition to beefing up a huge number of video-game related articles, you've taken a few of them to Featured, Good, and Comprehensive status. Out of everything you've done on Wookieepedia, of what are you the most proud?
    • Hmn. Probably my first GA, Attack on Porso Hill. That mission just seemed like a real cinematic experience, and I was pleased to bring it to written form.
  9. What interests you the most about FA-, GA-, and CA-writing? Would you recommend it to new and future members of the community?
    • I guess I like that it's a community thing, with other users giving advice and tips on how to make the best articles. I would definitely recommend the process to new users, and to suggest joining a WookieeProject for help.
  10. Do you have any other advice for anyone interested in becoming an active editor of Wookieepedia?
    • Hey guys and gals, pick a topic which interests you. Just remember to source it!
  11. What kind of impact would you like to leave on Wookieepedia?
    • Just to introduce people to the more obscure topics, other than the films, such as Battle for Naboo (of course). You know, some of the older stuff.

Thanks for agreeing to this! Menkooroo 04:24, April 1, 2012 (UTC)

    • Sure thing! And thanks again!

As for images...i'm a gamer, so how about [[File:TFU2 Electrifying.jpg]]?

  • I never got an interview! Anyway, congrats! Gal-icon OLIOSTER (talk) 04:32, April 1, 2012 (UTC)
  • Check the Main Page! The interview is up. Menkooroo 06:20, April 3, 2012 (UTC)

WP:VG one year anniversary

1313RakJaren-SWcom
WookieeProject Video Games has completed its first year!
A year ago today, WookieeProject Video Games was founded. Although it started out rather small, it quickly grew to be currently one of the most productive WookieeProjects. In that year, WookieeProject Video Games has seen seven Featured articles, thirty-four Good articles, and sixty-five Comprehensive articles passed, a very impressive amount especially for such a short time.

WP:VG was founded by Cal Jedi on July 8, 2011 with a mission "to improve...video game articles and bring them up to date" and also to "bring all related articles to Featured article status, Good article status, and Comprehensive article status." WP:VG has answered the call to the best of its ability. Five days after its formation, Exiledjedi joined the Project. More and more users began joining, until now, the project has eleven members. On July 26, 2011, the Project gained its first Comprehensive article, Unidentified Bakuran astromech droid, taken to status by Cal Jedi. Shortly thereafter, WP:VG's first Good article, J'Meeb Gumb, was taken to status by Exiledjedi on August 17, 2011. WP:VG's first Featured article, Battle of Kessel (0 ABY), was brought to status on October 19, 2011 by a guest nominator, Kilson.

WP:VG has associated with many other WookieeProjects—such as WookieeProject The Old Republic, WookieeProject Knights of the Old Republic, WookieeProject Galaxies, and others—helping each other bring articles to status. Overall, Wookieepedia's video game articles have drastically improved. While many have been taken to status, many more have been worked on and improved through the efforts of WP:VG's members.

There are many Star Wars video games. From the very first Star Wars game, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, to the recently released Kinect Star Wars, WP:VG has been there to work on an area on Wookieepedia that needs much attention. With the many games that have been produced under the Star Wars title, a large amount of people have come to love Star Wars games. We have had some tremendous Star Wars games in the past, and as we look to the future, we can see many more promising Star Wars titles on the horizon. Star Wars: 1313 is just around the corner, and it will require much work. And that is not the end. There will be more Star Wars games in the future. WP:VG needs to be there to address their needs on Wookieepedia.

However, a WookieeProject is nothing without its members. An impressive amount of work has been done by Corellian Premier. He has done a lot of work taking care of the little details in video game articles—many of which would otherwise have been forgotten—and he has also done a fine job of doing a lot of "inside work" of WP:VG. Olioster has also been doing a tremendous job of late. He has recently nominated an impressive amount of articles from Star Wars Galaxies. Even though the game has been offline for quite some time now, he keeps carrying on in his work. Congratulations, though, go to all of WP:VG's members. Without the members, WP:VG would be nothing. Together, the members of WP:VG have done a wondeful work on Wookieepedia. WookieeProject Video Games has done a great job over the past year. May it continue to do even better in the years to come. May the Force be with the gamers!

SW Galactic Battlegrounds check request

Hello Corellian Premier. As you mau have noticed, I recently created several small articles about Gungan deities (Mekamok, Gobba and Dobbis), all of which are based on the databank of Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds. I tried checking the information about those deities on the Internet, but I didn't found anything. Then I discovered a transcript of the game's databank... and it doesn't say anything about all those deities mentioned in the French edition! As you seem to possess SWGB, would you be so kind as to tell me if the English edition of the ingame databank mentions any of the aforementioned "guds"? Thanks in advance. Best regards. --LelalMekha (talk) 18:56, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

  • Well, the databank only specifically mentions Oma-Oma and that there is a pantheon of deities who live in Ossorus. Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 22:52, July 18, 2012 (UTC)
    • Now, that's quite curious. I guess it may be cut content that has been preserved in the French version somehow. Still canon, I think. --85.201.126.113 23:17, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

And since it's an official guide, you need to follow assume its recommendations how how the battle really unfolded (and list any alternate stories in the BTS). PS Just so you know I can't get the things I'm asking you for because GB doesn't work on my computer--Commander Code-8 (talk) 10:22, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

  • Well, for someone reason my laptop doesn't like it when I try to take screenshots, so that's a no-go. And for information, your best bet would be to search for "Let's Play Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds" on Youtube. I'd be happy to look it over when it gets nommed, though. • Ok, I'll check youtube out--Commander Code-8 (talk) 22:07, September 11, 2012 (UTC)

Re:The Royal Award Ceremony in video games

Why, thank you. I've never played Empire at War, so would never have suspected the ceremony was in there. Good catch, old man—well, if you don't mind my calling you "old man". ;-) --LelalMekha (talk) 20:53, September 15, 2012 (UTC)

  • You're welcome. Let me know if you have anymore questions. And I don't mind, I just think it's a bit odd since I believe I'm a tad younger than you. ;) Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 01:30, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Well in fact, yes, I do have a question. Since I'm not familiar with the game, there's something that troubles me: the battle that is shown in the video before that award ceremony doesn't look like the Battle of Yavin at all. Does that mean the battle can happen around any planet in the game, or is this yet another "royal ceremony" somehow? (Oh, by the way, the "old man" thing is just a verbal tic inherited from Raúl Juliá in The Addams Family movies.) --LelalMekha (talk) 08:40, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
  • Yes, the battle can take place over any planet. And if a player wins the game by conquest, there is another video, also followed by the award ceremony. Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 20:14, September 16, 2012 (UTC)
    • Mh. I wonder how I should treat this in the "appearances" section... Should it be considered a non-canon appearance? --LelalMekha (talk) 20:35, September 16, 2012 (UTC)

Re: CA question

Hey, CP. There doesn't seem to be anything specifically in the rules that covers that. However, a CA cannot surpass 250 words, so I would say that the best course of action would be to just nominate it for GAN, if you want to. If not, then I'd say yes, it should be placed in the review for surpassing the word limit. Hope that helps. Cheers.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 02:09, September 19, 2012 (UTC)

TIE Heavy Bomber

Hi.

Is there any instances where the TIE Heavy Bomber was used during the campaigns (besides multiplayer, I mean). If so, can you update the TIE Heavy Bomber with that information? I'd do it myself, but a., I don't have the game (and since I burned through my money to order a Game Boy Micro on ebay, I really don't have the resources to buy it right now, anyways), b., the guidebook doesn't cover cutscenes that much, and c., trying to search on Bing is proving to be a hassle as it is currently redirecting to various other search engines/sites for some reason whether I choose one of the options or, in the case of recently, am trying to merely access bing.

Weedle McHairybug (talk) 20:50, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

  • a)A Game Boy Micro? It's the 21st century! Haha, jk. b)I have no idea what's wrong with Bing, but most of the campaign is up on Youtube. c)That being said, I'll check my notes to see if I wrote any down. It would either be in the Imp or the Wookiee campaigns. Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 21:27, September 21, 2012 (UTC)

lorem ipsum.

Hi. I know that the phrase is latin. However, why did you add in a latin phrase to the aftermath section for the Raid on Bespin article, especially as its only content in the section save for the quote? Weedle McHairybug (talk) 20:57, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

  • the phrase is commonly used as a placeholder, as it is in this case. I put it there to fill out the section until I decide something appropriate to put there. Corellian PremierRobotechAll along the watchtower 21:42, November 12, 2012 (UTC)

Nonnah placement.

If you want to debate this, ask Cade Catalryn, the person who actually stated that it took place before General Skywalker and had between 6 months to a full year between the Nonnah mission and Crix Madine's defection to the Rebellion. Weedle McHairybug (talk) 14:07, November 17, 2012 (UTC)

Re:Essential Readers Companion

Hey. Thank you for the tip ; unfortunately, I do not own a copy of the ERC. Does it actually have new information about the series? --LelalMekha (talk) 18:20, November 24, 2012 (UTC)

  • Yes and no? The description is a bit whimsical but it talks about how the series is partly canonical. Would you want me to email you a transcript? Corellian PremierJedi symbolThe Force will be with you always 01:52, November 25, 2012 (UTC)
    • Yes, I'd be glad if you could do that. If the series' content cannot be taken for granted, we may have to change some things here. --LelalMekha (talk) 10:20, November 25, 2012 (UTC)
      • I'll follow up here. The book seems to indicate that it is "definitely" canon, so we should continue to document it and let additional sources unravel how much it differs in tone. Corellian PremierJedi symbolThe Force will be with you always 02:17, November 26, 2012 (UTC)

B1 electrostaff

Who the hell do you think you are editing the b1 electrostaff Droid

  • Okay, first off, calm down. Your attitude is unproductive and could be construed as a personnel attack, which tends to be frowned upon here. Secondly, I removed the Obi-Wan appearance because I am sure there are no such units in the game. Perhaps you are referring to the assassin droids? If you feel further discussion is warranted, please continue the discussion in the Talk:B1 Electrostaff droid's page. Re: Musings

Hey, CP. Sorry for the long delay. I usually don't do copy-edits, but I'll try to do it since it's covered under WP:VG.... :P Been really busy lately, so I'm not sure when I'll get a chance. I'll try to get to it asap, though.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 04:21, December 10, 2012 (UTC)

    • Yeah, sorry about that. I'll try to get to it tonight or tomorrow. If I don't do it before Thursday, feel free to poke me again, and I'll do it Thursday night when I have some more free time. Sorry again about the delay. Cheers.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 01:50, December 18, 2012 (UTC)
      • And done. Again, sorry about the delay. I fixed a few minor things, otherwise it looks very good. One question: are we sure that the rapid fire perk should be included in the body? Wouldn't that just be game mechanics? I've never played the game, so I'll leave that to your better judgment of whether it's in-universe or not. Anyway, I'll be sure to slap a support on it once you nom it.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 16:07, December 18, 2012 (UTC)
        • Ah, I see. I thought you were going to FAN that other one. So, yeah, I'll try to get to the other one now. :P —Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 01:49, December 19, 2012 (UTC)
          • Copy-edit done. The whole article, though, is very choppy, especially in the first few paragraphs of the body. It would be good if you went through and tried to smooth some of those sentences out.—Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 17:05, December 19, 2012 (UTC)

The Recent Books

Is the book, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: What Is a Sith Warrior?, give the same new information like its counterpart, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Who Are the Jedi?, on battles of the Clone Wars, like the Battle of Sullust, or different information on these battles. I was wondering because I have neither books. Darth Pythonis (talk) 07:39, January 3, 2013 (UTC)

  • I actually don't know about Sith Warrior because my library doesn't a copy of it. And I wouldn't say it's "new" information per se, more like pictures and summarizing the information available. But they definitely count as sources and need added to articles. Corellian PremierJedi symbolThe Force will be with you always 23:15, January 3, 2013 (UTC)

Hi again, about Who are the Jedi?, do you mind adding info—or you could give me the info—for the Battle of Umbara article from this source, because like again I don't have neither books and I don't think I'll ever have time to get them as well, and I'm trying to bring that article to a better standard.
