I noticed you're one of the major contributors to Wikipedia's article on Star Wars sequels: mind if we copy it over here and wookify it? — Silly Dan 23:21, 24 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Holiday special

Hi — thanks for expanding the Holiday special article. In future, though, please don't just paste whole articles from Wikipedia over here — it ends up with a lot of ugly redlinks to things like Eastern Standard Time, November, Windows Media Player, and a lot of other things we wouldn't bother writing articles on here. Character name background coloring

There's no standard convention, but de facto most good guys are formatted with a blue background, and most bad guys with a black one. And black text on blue/red background is unreadable, so it's better to use white. - Sikon [Talk] 13:54, 11 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Kalarba

Actually the Kalarba Adventures is a Dark Horse series, It's got the same feel and tone and concept as the animated series , but it's a little more adult though. But it's not Actually based on the animated series. It's not from Marvel or Star and they use a different logo.sniktawt 5:33, 11 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Category: Thrawn novels

Brilliant idea (hopefully we can get lots of categories by author, protagonist, etc) but perhaps it should be moved to "Thrawn fiction" or "Thrawn stories" so that Command Decision, Side Trip, etc. can be included.--The Erl of the Adamwankenobi/Archive 1 talk What I do 02:56, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Well, I would organize the novel category first by author, just because it can be so widely applied (there are some books without a definitive character). Long time, no see

Hello Adam, I just wanted to say hi because I have not talked to you in a long time. I was the Crumb vandal who vandalized articles (mostly Salacious Crumb, I said he survived the sail barge explosion and I said that he was a good fighter, I was mostly lying about the explosion but I was serious about the fighter thing) and insulted users. But, as you can see I am now a better wookieepedian and I actually get along very well with my new friends known as Jack Nebulax, Silly Dan, and Starneptune even though we were once enemies. I just wanted to let you know that I'm no longer bad. Kowakian 1 20:35, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Star Trek canon

Hey, why do you say that Star Trek novels are canon? AFAIK (and I know quite a bit) only the series and movies are canon. Everything else, just aren't canon and they are free to contradict each other. See relevant article in Memory alpha MoffRebus 09:45, 24 June 2006 (UTC)

Fanfilms

We don't yet have criteria for determining which fanfilms are significant and which aren't, but I'm pretty sure a fanfilm which isn't going to be deleted until the year after next doesn't yet qualify as a significant film. Hey Adamwan, I moved the image on Star Wars Insider 91 back to where I had it before. Mari Amithest

Hi, I wanted to talk over about our edits, because it seems like we disagree on what is encyclopedic. I wanted to say first off that we share the common goal of improving the article as Star Wars geeks ;), so I hope we are able to work out some sort of compromise or in the very least, discuss it over peacefully.

The reason why Sources section were deleted because References already serve as a list of Sources — it is redundant to list both of them. I also noticed you took out the reference to Mari being one of the Bear Clan's brightest members — I think that sort of information should be referenced to because it isn't [well-known] knowledge given in the movies or the novels.

However, I was willing to give those up for the sake of compromise, so I left them the way you had wanted it to. But I cannot give up the non-bullet point format — perhaps I failed in doing so, but when I typed those paragraphs up, I had purposely tried to create transitions between them. Bullet-point text is unencyclopedic — while it is considered encyclopedic when listing out the characters in a book per say, it is not when we are discussing information in which information takes more than one line when listed on a bullet point. Clearly the Behind the Scenes information can be written in paragraph form with transition sentences in between. Therefore, paragraph-form would be preferable to bullet-text form.

Also, are you sure h is a vowel according to American English grammar rules? Because if it is so, then you have properly inserted a 'n' next to the 'a' before 'homage'. The vowels I know of are a, e, i, o, and u. I know y could be an exception, but aside from that I am sure h is not a vowel. Perhaps this confusion is due to regional differences, I noticed that you too live in the U.S., but I hail from up north, specifically, Michigan. Nice userpage by the way, it was fun to look at. :D

Anyway, I hope the current format of the article, which was the compromise I had in mind (Sources/Ref. the way you wanted it, Behind the Scenes in non-bullet form the way I wanted it), works out for you — but if not, I'm sure we can work something out together. :) Cheers! —Mirlen 15:46, 24 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me about the consensus with the Appearances/Sources/BTS system, I was unaware of it...or forgotten it. Either one. :P Anyway, nice talking to you, and as for your userpage, the alien in the infobox has to be the best part. ;)Mirlen 19:22, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

If you would kindly avoid alcohol in the meantime, I'd appreciate it, as it ruins the flavor of the liver. ;) Sorry, insomnia always makes me weird.... Jwebb13HoloNet40px 10:31, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Don't worry. If I listen to "The End" all the way through, you'll have plenty of time for a head start. I love Morrison's stuff, but that one tune kinda drags if you're not in the right frame of mind, so to speak. Jwebb13HoloNet40px 09:57, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Re:Salek

The Ewok village was raided in the daytime as shown in the movies. The Ewoks were taken prisoner at that time.By nightfall many hours later they were near the mountains where they escaped and after being taken from the mountains by the dragon they land many miles away as shown in the movie.

So Noah's house is nowhere near the Ewok village as the movie shows. There is no source that I can see disproving this fact.--Nadirali نادرالی

My source is the movie itself.I know it sounds like original research but there seems to be nothing disproving it and the movie gives the best answer that's all I can say...--Nadirali نادرالی

Latara

You seem to be familiar with all this Ewoks bizzo. Does Latara appear in every episode? And if not, would you be able to...accuratise her Appearances section? .... 11:09, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

  • I see. Well, thanks anyway. I'll find out soon enough. I'm going to have to watch every. Single. Episode. .... 11:16, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
    • Another Ewok-related question: Do you know the exact episode that the Wank is mentioned? Cull Tremayne 12:01, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
      • If wank is really a creature then I swear to god I'll actually buy the series. --Azizlight 12:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
        • That is, if it weren't out of print. .... 12:17, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

            • And Adam, sorry about that joke i made on that talk page. No hard feelings. --Azizlight 23:15, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Threepio in live-action show

Regrettably his role is not confirmed. See this discussion for more. Basically it's one of those Internet rumors started by a disreputable tabloid, then picked up by a more major source (Ananova), which consequently won't die. I'd stick "(rumored)" on 3PO but it doesn't really even count as a rumor. We would have had more information if he'd been confirmed—we're talking front page SW.com news here. The CIV Table

Hey, just FYI - I volunteered to Xwing328 that I would set up a master schedule, so that we can keep the table manned at all times. Would you please head over to my Manning the CIV table page and let me know when you can volunteer? Thanks! --Bobvitas 13:39, 1 May 2007 (UTC)

Blow by blow...actually, that sounds bad.

Because we are, contrary to appearances, trying to make an encyclopedia. However, I don't think that there's a set detail limit that we can adhere to. In terms of media that might run for half an hour, we're writing a "Plot Summary", and we can pump out quite a meaty, and sufficient slew of paragraphs, without the reader going "Oh well, I don't need to watch that then", because then that becomes a borderline transcript. However, when, say, a character's life is very small, or you've got a short story that goes for, say a page, for the sake of utility, you have to document everything, since it's proportional. Does that make sense? Probably not. It's the way I was...well, raised, for want of a better word, on Wikipedia. The same goes for my aversion to images in abundance. I retch at the ROTJ plot summary, and I hope you won't take offence if I say that I'm not the biggest fan of the Holiday Special's plot summary. We're not re-writing the material. We're summarising it. Thefourdotelipsis 03:57, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Battle of Endor—vulnerable

Hey, I thought vulnerable was spelled without an "l". Just giving you my reasoning as I see you were curious about why I chanegd that. My mistake. Chack Jadson 01:14, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

About Szardra

The reason I tagged it for deletion is because the names in UAA are only meant as examples for roleplaying purposes. Some were "noted individuals," some weren't, and it's dumb to have hundreds of articles about "noted individuals" with no other information available (which we were well on our way to having before this "policy" was initiated). star wars main article

I would like to discuss why star wars should be known as "science fantasy" instead of science fiction. I would also later like to discuss the same for star trek as well. Also many of the influnces cited on star wars is quite misleading. It was not influenced by fairy tales. It was influenced by ancient roman, ancient japanese and other politics.

If anything, many parts of the Star Trek article are really describing star wars wheras parts of the star wars article describes star trek.

where would you like to discuss?--Nadirali

Agreed with you on the star trek bit. However the force has been scientified in the phantom menace when Lucas created the midichlorians to explain the force.I'm not sure where lucas was quoted saying it but I think its the wikipedia article on midichlorians where Lucas states he wanted to make it more realistic.Even in the Star Wars universe the sole reason of being able to use the force depends on how many midichlorians the person/being's body contains. The most powerful Jedi have amongst the highest midichlorian count in their blood system.

I will provide you with sources to support my edits. But I request to postpone the discussion till the weekend since Im busy.--Nadirali

language in infobox

Hi. Please see the talk page before you rv. Every movie has more then 9 different languages, so I think it's very usefull to have it in the infobox. --Steinninn 16:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

ROTJ

What's up with the ROTJ article? Why did you get rid of the images in the article and put it in a bad-looking gallery? Do the right thing and return the article to its rightful setup. LukeSkywalker 19:57, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Thermal detonator

I've got a question. Why did you ad the sourceless image I replaced to the article? That image is one of the few things that are keeping this article from becoming a GA. --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 13:21, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

  • No problem, if you can source the image it can stay, but we've been trying to do that for a week now without any progress so we decided to replace it. --Jedimca0 (Do or Do Not, There is No Try) 17:53, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

FA Objection

  • To Daric LaRone. Please clarify it, or I will ask the Inquisitorius to strike it. If you are objecting to the lack of reference tags, the guideline for those tags, Wookieepedia:Sourcing, says that articles with only a single source, such as LaRone's, do not require those tags. Hello, this is Darthtyler, a fellow Wookieepedian. Judging by your userpage (seeing you were waiting for the Rocky Balboa movie) you like Rocky. I wanted to ask if you wouldn't mind joining us at the Rocky Wiki. And this is not spamming your talk page if that's what you're thinking. Thanks in advance if you come.—DarthtylerTalk 22:17, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Keep in mind that the article was created based on existing articles. It will be hard for me to verify where each example comes from especially if there are multiple sources for those examples.

Btw, you might want to archive this place for once. ;) -- Riffsyphon1024 05:19, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Dan Wallace's Blog

Thanks for fixing the link to his SW.com blog. At the time I was working on it, SW.com was apparently down and I could not get a fix on the exact blog number. However, Dan also reposts his SW blogs on Myspace. -- Riffsyphon1024 04:48, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

There are some unsourced images that you uploaded on User:Eyrezer/Inq duties|this page. If you can provide a source for them that would be great. If so, please remove them from the page as well. --Eyrezer 00:33, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Confirming some information

Hey Adam, I'm working on improving the wampa article and thought you may be able to help confirm for me that some information is presented accurately: under the "Wampas in the galaxy" section, the information concerning Asajj Ventress from Clone Wars Chapter 6. Thanks! Toprawa and Ralltiir 15:38, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

  • Hey, once again. I thought you might also be able to tell me the significance (if any) of the apparent wampa mention in The White Witch from Star Wars: Droids. Toprawa and Ralltiir 00:29, 16 December 2007 (UTC)
    • If you have the source available and would be willing to look into it, I would really appreciate it. Toprawa and Ralltiir 07:07, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

Hey. Can you remember what the source was for this? I'm working on the article and haven't stumbled across that in any sources yet. Thanks. Green Tentacle (Talk) 23:30, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Lucas image

Way back in 2005, I uploaded File:George Lucas.jpg. Apparently, you had previously uploaded it to Wikipedia; now, it's been deleted from there. Do you know where it originally comes from, so we can source it? -LtNOWIS 21:49, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

From Pencil to Pixel

Hi, Adam. I noticed that a while ago, you added From Pencil to Pixel: The Art of Star Wars Galaxies to the sources list on the Dulok article. I've recently expanded that piece considerably, but I don't have the Pixel book to draw information from. Do you own it? Would you mind taking a look and letting me know what information it may have about Duloks? I imagine it's mostly behind-the-scenes stuff, but even that is good information! Thanks, ~ SavageBob 22:07, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey, Adam. Never mind. Craven got me the info. Thanks anyway! ~ SavageBob 23:26, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
