Changing to external links

NEGTC Images

Yes, I scanned the images from The New Essential Guide to Characters, but I didn't add them to the Gallery because I was hoping to get better, larger res scans sometime soon. And also, as I understand it, those galleries are meant to show the images exactly as they are shown in the NEGTC without any editing or altering (other than the background color). That's why I didn't add the ones where I added a lightsaber effect. JMAS

Yeah, the server where my site is hosted is down. Not sure for how long. My friend, who let's me use his server, may be moving from upstate, to just outside Albany, and I think that may be why it's down for now. Sorry for the incovenience, and thanks for the interest. The Archive Character section

I'm aware that the CUSWE is now independant from TFN (and thank goodness for it). But, ss you can imagine by the sheer number of characters represented, changing all the bios over to the the new is a daunting task and will take a while.

As to Wedge picture |5|, that is definitely Wedge. If you are referring to pic |4|, that one might be Tycho (though I understand he has very blonde hair), but when I found the image years ago, it was labelled as being Wedge. If you can tell me the source of that picture showing it to be Tycho, I'll definitely change it.

I had thought it just wasn't going to get updated, hence I wasn't worried about rushing to get the bios updated. Aar'be Simara birth date

Main Image

I don't really like the main images. With your permission can I keep that Leia picture as the main image because it's the most recent. Luke doesn't have good promotional images so I wanted to changed it to his most recent appearance, isn't that the policy? There was a discussion on Luke's talkpage. Besides I didn't hear nobody else complain besides you.

Just to warn you: there's a rule when editing wikis that you're not supposed to revert an article three times in one day. If you want to change the Luke image, explain why on the talk page. Otherwise, you may be given a brief block for edit warring. —Silly Dan (talk) 23:42, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

    • To be honest, I'm not sure if there is much you can do without changing people's minds or getting more of the editors to vote on this issue. A large majority of users have voted for portraits on each talk page, citing "encylopediac" reasons. I'm not particularly on one side or the other to be honest. If I were in your position, I would you say you have basically one shot left- to try and propose a general infobox image policy on a CT thread. But for now, the portraits should stay.
