«A pity. There were a couple of nice cafés on that station.»
―Roscu[1]

A merchant-hub station orbited the Unknown Regions Garwian Unity nation planet of Stivic,[1] which was located in the Stivic system in grid square D-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[2] It served as a merchant hub for the Garwian people. A number of cafés were located on the station.[1]

In 36 BBY,[3] the station came under attack by pirates affiliated with the Lioaoin Regime nation. The Chiss Senior Commander Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet witnessed the battle from aboard the patrol cruiser Parala, but Chiss policy prevented him from directly intervening. The patrol cruiser's first officer, Mid Captain Clarr'os'culry ("Roscu"), noted that it was regrettable that the Chiss could not render aid given that Roscu viewed the facility's cafés as "nice." Eventually, Thrawn used modulated laserfire to inform the Garwians of the weaknesses of the Lioaoin corsairs, leading to the defeat of the pirates.[1]

Behind the scenes

The orbiting merchant-hub station appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
