- "I've heard of a planet, Sevetta, that's more mercury rich than here. So much so, the air's toxic."
"Nothing can survive there?"
"“I didn't say that. The beings who live there are fine. They're made of mercury, too. For the most part." - ―Hunter and Omega
A sentient species of beings mostly made of mercury and capable of shapeshifting was native to[1] the Outer Rim[2] planet Sevetta, which was mercury-rich and had a toxic atmosphere. The rogue clone trooper Hunter was aware of the species, and[1] around 18 BBY,[3] while on the mercury-rich planet Tryth, he told fellow clone Omega about them, which amazed her.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the species was mentioned in Sanctuary: A Bad Batch Novel, a 2025 novel by Lamar Giles.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Polydroxol, a shapeshifting species native to the world Sevetta,[4] first appeared in "Treasure Hunt," an adventure written by Todd Quigley, illustrated by Tim Eldred, and included in Twin Stars of Kira, a 1993 supplement for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[5]
