Tryth was a planet located in the Tryth system covered in mercury. The planet experienced ionic storms and mercurial rain.[1]
Behind the scenes
Tryth was created for Sanctuary: A Bad Batch Novel, written by Lamar Giles and published on August 5, 2025.[1] Giles derived the name of the planet from the Tri-City area in the US state of Virginia, where Giles grew up. Tryth's mercury refinery stations were a nod to the fact Giles' home city of Hopewell is a factory town.[2]
