Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A Safrifan male was the son of a marsh-lord who lived during the High Republic Era. They lived on their homeworld, the swamp planet Safrifa, with their parent and were part of a clan.[1] In 231 BBY,[2] a rival clan kidnapped the son, prompting their parent to hire the mercenary Ty Yorrick to rescue them. Yorrick completed the operation, finding the blood and screams involved distasteful, and received a payment of novian ore from the marsh-lord for the son's safe return. After the mercenary returned to her ship, she reflected on her time on Safrifa, including the rescue job.[1]

Behind the scenes

The son was mentioned in the novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I and published on June 29, 2021.[3] Prior to its release, their mention was included in a StarWars.com preview for the novel on April 22 of that year.[4]
