A marsh-lord and their son were part of a clan on the swamp planet Safrifa during the High Republic Era.[1] In 231 BBY,[2] a rival clan kidnapped the son, prompting the marsh-lord to ask the mercenary Ty Yorrick to rescue them in exchange for novian ore. Yorrick completed the operation, finding the bloody endeavor distasteful, and received her payment from the parent for the son's safe return. After the mercenary returned to her ship, she thought about the Safrifa trip, including the rescue job.[1]
Behind the scenes
The clan was mentioned in the novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I and published on June 29, 2021.[3] Prior to its release, a mention of the clan was included in a StarWars.com preview for the novel on April 22 of that year.[4]
