Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A Weequay was a member of the Path of the Open Hand cult during the High Republic Era.[2] By 385 BBY,[1] the Weequay had built a cottage in the Path compound on the Outer Rim planet Dalna and had also died from a wasting illness. Sometime later, the human woman[2] Elecia Zeveron[3] joined the Path and lived in the cottage built by the Weequay.[2] In 382 BBY,[1] as the Evereni Path member Yana Ro made her way to speak with Zeveron, who by then was the leader of the cult, in her cottage, Ro mentally noted the Weequay's building of the cottage and their death of a wasting illness.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Weequay was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase II.[4] Within the novel, the Weequay was mentioned in a chapter written by Ireland.[5]
