- "Whoa. Where'd you get a raider ship?"
"Picked up scraps from a crash site and pieced them back together! So whaddya say? Take her for a ride?"" - ―Kay Vess to mechanic
A humanoid mechanic worked with the Miyuki Trade League on their space station, Hauler's Keep, located in the Khepi system of Wild Space.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] they recovered the scrapes of a R93 refractor starfighter from a crash site that belonged to the Rokana Raiders. They finished rebuilding the starship shortly after Rokana Raiders were driven from their base at the Khepi tomb. While working on the station they wore a green shirt with a hood, green pants, tan gloves. dark boots and a mask that completely concealed their features.[1]
In 3 ABY that offered a scoundrel by the name Kay Vess the opportunity to fly the repaired R93 refractor and use it's custom encryption emitter to recover a number of contraband stashes the raiders had stashed in the nearby Sayma Nebula. Vess agreed to an even split of the contraband and the mechanic provided her with the coordinates of one of the stashes.[1]
Behind the scenes
The mechanic appeared in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[3] The are only identified by the game's subtitles as "mechanic" and are apart of the "Hauler’s Keep Mechanic" intel quest only available after completing the expansion's main quest.[1]
