"Uedan noodles?"
―Hilst, offering a bowl with Uedan noodles to Qi'ra[1]

Uedan noodles were a type of fat, soft noodle.[1] The dish partially shared its name with the planet Ueda[3] and originated from[1][2] the Outer Rim's[4] Ueda system.[2] The noodles were consumable by humans and could be found on[1] the Mid Rim[5] planet Thorum.[1] Around 13 BBY,[6] the noodles were served at a residence housing several members of the Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate on Thorum. After being passed some of the warm noodles by her Crimson Dawn colleague Hilst, the human criminal Qi'ra enjoyed the few she had taken from the serving bowl. As Hilst moved the Uedan noodles further down the table, Qi'ra took time to enjoy their flavor, comforted by the fact that she could add more to her plate and not have to worry about food insecurity.[1]

Behind the scenes

Uedan noodles appeared in Crimson Climb, a 2023 young-adult novel written by E. K. Johnston.[1] Noodles were consumed in Lomi Usqi Noodle Shop on Ueda in "Lost / Found," the first episode of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: The Acolyte,[7] which aired on June 4, 2024.[8] However, as the type of noodles being served was not specified, this article refrains from assuming they were Uedan noodles.
