The Tythe system was a star system of the Outer Rim Territories that was situated in grid square Q-16 of the Standard Galactic Grid. It was part of the Savareen sector[1] and contained the location Tythe, where Count Dooku and the Jedi Anakin Skywalker clashed[2] at some point between 22 BBY and 19 BBY[3] during the Clone Wars between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Republic.[2]

The Tythe system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix first published on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Written by Jason Fry,[4] the appendix was released as a companion to the interactive Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com,[1] which was also written by Fry.[4]

The Tythe system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity[5] and first appeared through the planet Tythe in James Luceno's 2005 novel Labyrinth of Evil.[6] The Tythe system itself was then identified in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry.[5] In canon, the establishment of the Tythe system[1] builds off the mention of Tythe in the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II, within which the hero-class character Dooku mentions a prior battle against Jedi Anakin Skywalker at Tythe,[2] referencing events first seen in Legends through Labyrinth of Evil.[6] While this article assumes the confrontation on Tythe as mentioned in Battlefront II did occur, the mention itself is made by Dooku in the context of matches that are not bound to the restrictions of the canon Star Wars timeline.[2]
