Tythe was a location[2] at Standard Galactic Grid square Q-16 in the galaxy's Tythe system, which itself was located in the Savareen sector of the Outer Rim Territories.[1] At some point after the first battle[2] of the Outer Rim planet Geonosis, which started the Clone Wars between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and Galactic Republic in 22 BBY,[3] Jedi Anakin Skywalker fought Count Dooku at Tythe. As had occurred during their confrontation on Geonosis and at other locations, Dooku avoided defeat at the hands of Skywalker.[2]
Behind the scenes
- "From Geonosis to Tythe, you have failed to defeat me, and today will be no different."
- ―Count Dooku's taunt against Anakin Skywalker
Tythe is mentioned by Count Dooku in the video game Star Wars Battlefront II (Dooku as he appears in Battlefront II, pictured).
Tythe was mentioned in the 2017 video game Star Wars Battlefront II by the hero-class character Dooku as a taunt against fellow hero Anakin Skywalker. As the taunt only occurs in matches that are not bound by timeline restrictions of Star Wars canon, this article does not consider Dooku's speaking of the line to be canonical.[2]
Tythe originated in James Luceno's 2005 Star Wars Legends novel Labyrinth of Evil. In Legends, Tythe was an Outer Rim Territories planet which was the site of a confrontation between Skywalker and Dooku[4] in 19 BBY.[5]
