The Tocan system was located within the New Territories portion[2] of the Expansion Region. It was situated in the Sumitra sector at the coordinates N-7 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] By 1 BBY,[3] the Rebel Alliance conducted an extraction in the Tocan system, with UT-60D U-wing starfighter/support craft being used as gunships. The UT-60D's role in the extraction was noted in a report from General Antoc Merrick of Starfighter Command to the Alliance Commander-in-Chief Mon Mothma[4] that year.[3] The report was collected by archivist Hendri Underholt and included in their compilation of non-electronic files known as The Rebel Files.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Tocan system was introduced into the current Star Wars canon via Daniel Wallace's 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Rebel Files.[4] Originating in the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Tocan system was first mentioned in the 1990 West End Games roleplaying supplement The Rebel Alliance Sourcebook by Paul Murphy.[5]
