"Tinian on Trial" is a short story written by Kathy Tyers that was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 4 by West End Games in November 1994. It was later compiled in the short story anthology Tales from the Empire which was published in November 1997 by Bantam Spectra, and was archived online at Hyperspace on April 30, 2004.
Plot summary
I'att Armaments demonstrates its revolutionary portable shielding technology, which could render stormtroopers invulnerable to blasterfire. The unscrupulous Moff Kerioth seizes the weapons factory by force, killing the company leaders. Tinian I'att, young heir to the company, flees with the sole sample of the shield, running into the streets of Druckenwell while her fiancé, Daye Azur-Jamin, stays behind to detonate the reactor at the factory.
