Notes and references

  1. The second season of Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures spans the dedication of the Starlight Beacon (which appears in the season one finale "The Prince and the Pirate") and the mission to Vrant Tarnum (which appears in "Yoda Rescue"), both of which are dated to 232 BBY by Star Wars: Timelines. The Season Two episodes "The Great Gomgourd Quest" and "The Missing Life Day Feast" take place one year after the Season One episodes "The Harvest Feast" and "Life Day," placing those episodes in 233 BBY. Season One begins around the same year, meaning that Young Jedi Adventures Season One spans c. 233 BBY through 232 BBY.
  2. Therefore, the first 21 episodes of Season Two take place in 232 BBY and the rest take place around the same year.
  3. GettyImages-Logo 4.11.23 SW Celeb Tues Wrap Up Press Blast by The Walt Disney Studios on Getty Images (April 11, 2023) (backup link) places Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures 200 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, which corresponds to 232 BBY according to Star Wars: Timelines. The series itself spans at least a year, per The Art of Star Wars: The High Republic: Volume II. Therefore, media associated with the series must also take place around those years.
  4. StarWars.com "Lost/Found" Episode Guide | The Acolyte on StarWars.com (backup link) states that the events of Star Wars: The Acolyte take place 100 years before the events of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 32 BBY. Therefore, The Acolyte takes place in 132 BBY.
  5. "Justice," the first chronological episode of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi, takes place after Qui-Gon Jinn became Dooku's Padawan. According to Star Wars: Timelines, Jinn became Dooku's Padawan in 68 BBY and became a Jedi Knight around 58 BBY. Therefore "Justice" must take place between those two years. "Resolve," the last chronological episode, is set after Ahsoka Tano's first encounter with an Inquisitor one year after the rise of the Galactic Empire in Ahsoka, which is dated to 18 BBY as the Galactic Atlas dates the Empire's formation to 19 BBY. It is set prior to the events of "Out of Darkness," dated to 5 BBY by The Official Star Wars Fact File Part 84 5 BBY 27-30: Out of Darkness, in which Tano is already an active participant in the rebellion.
  6. The events of "The Good Life",the first chronological episode of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, occur before Cad Bane takes up the life of a bounty hunter. According to Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, Bane was estimated to be 41 years old in the year 7956 C.R.C., eleven years after the 7945 C.R.C. Boonta Eve Classic of Neva Kee's disappearance. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates that race to 32 BBY, it can be calculated that Bane was born around the year 62 BBY. Furthermore, Darth Maul (2017) 3 shows that Bane is already a bounty hunter by the time of its events, which occur in 33 BBY according to Star Wars: Timelines. Therefore, the events of "The Good Life" occur between c. 62 BBY and 33 BBY. "One Warrior to Another," the last chronological episode, is set after the stormtrooper program is activated in "Truth and Consequences," which Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide dates to 18 BBY, but before the end of the Imperial Era in 5 ABY.
  7. Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures adapts content from Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace to Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Star Wars: Timelines places Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace in 32 BBY and Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker in 35 ABY. Therefore Star Wars Galaxy of Adventures takes place throughout 32 BBY and 35 ABY.
  8. ForcesOfDestinyLogo-Dplus Star Wars Forces of Destiny — "Monster Misunderstanding" takes place in between Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Queen's Shadow. Star Wars: Timelines dates Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace to 32 BBY and Queen's Shadow to 28 BBY. Therefore "Monster Misunderstanding" takes place some time between 32 and 28 BBY.
  9. ForcesOfDestinyLogo-Dplus Star Wars Forces of Destiny — "Shuttle Shock" takes place concurrently with Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 34 ABY.
  10. 10.0 10.1 10.2 10.3 10.4 10.5 10.6 Star Wars: Timelines
  11. "The Path of Fear," the first chronological episode of Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, takes place during the Battle of Dathomir, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 20 BBY. "The Path of Hate," the last chronological episode, is set after the fall of the Galactic Empire but before the Liberation of Calodan. Star Wars: Timelines dates those events to 5 ABY and 9 ABY respectively.
  12. Star Wars: Timelines dates Season 1 of the show to 19 BBY. Per the reasoning here, Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place around 18 BBY. The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the episode must take place at least twenty-one standard days following her capture as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." According to StarWars.com "Confined" Trivia Guide | Star Wars The Bad Batch on StarWars.com (backup link), Omega spends about 164 further days in captivity by the end of "Confined." As such, the events of Season 3 must begin around 18 BBY.
  13. Star Wars: Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide dates Star Wars: Andor to 5 BBY before the events of Star Wars Rebels. StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states the second season of Andor will take place over the next four years with the final shot taking the place shortly before Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Therefore, according to Star Wars: Timelines, Andor will end in 1 BBY.
  14. SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 dates the events of "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Star Wars: Timelines. Preceding episodes, also take place in that year, since they take place after Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, which is dated to 9 ABY according to Timelines. As "Part Eight: The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord" takes place shortly after Part Seven, the events of Ahsoka as a whole must all take place within the same year.
  15. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. As StarWars.com SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set in the same time period as The Mandalorian, it must therefore also be set around 9 ABY.
  16. The Galaxy of Creatures book depicts all episodes of Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures taking place a relatively short time apart. Galaxy of Creatures small logo Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures — "Porgs" features porgs on Batuu, a species that Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge establishes were not present on the planet Batuu until the Resistance brought them there between the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Therefore, porgs must have been introduced to Batuu between those stories, which corresponds to 34 ABY per Star Wars: Timelines, meaning that the events of Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures take place during or after 34 ABY.
  17. StarWars.com Learn to Care for Creatures and Aliens in Star Wars Galactic Pals on StarWars.com (backup link) places Star Wars Galactic Pals after the events of Star Wars Galaxy of Creatures.
  18. Droid Diaries features BB-8 and Chewbacca, who first meet in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, dated to 34 ABY per Star Wars: Timelines.
