The Tessen system was a star system in the Phelleem sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Slice.[2] It fell within grid square S-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and was part of the Salin Corridor hyperspace route[3] which connected it to the Boonta system and the Sy Myrth system.[5] In 9 BBY,[6] the crew of a JT-731 Broadhorn transport operated by the Hidden Path planned to try and reach Tessen while trying to escape from the Galactic Empire.[4]

Behind the scenes

The Tessen system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[7]

  3. 3.0 3.1 Star Wars: Complete Locations, New Edition places the Tessen system on a hyperspace route that also appeared on the Star Wars Galaxy Map poster. This assumes that the name "Salin Corridor," as used in Nexus of Power, applies to the canon hyperspace route depicted on the map that matches the depiction of the Star Wars Legends route with the same name in The Essential Atlas per BlueskyLogo Jason Fry (@jasoncfry.bsky.social.) on Bluesky (post on January 3, 2025): "They are indeed the same. Same galaxy, same map. In the rare event something needs to be changed, it will be discussed. (In response to: Hi @jasoncfry.bsky.social, was hoping you could confirm for Wookieepedia purposes that the hyperspace routes depicted on the Galaxy Map given out at Celebration are intended to be the same routes as in Legends. Sorry to bother, but would make our lives much easier to have it confirmed!)" (screenshot).
