Defense Grid System

It says that the 'Defense Grid Picture' was taken from Wikipedia. I couldn't find it there. Also, I believe that is a concept art pic for Telos Restoration Zone (Note the large mountains).--HK-42 05:56, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Enclave

Who rebuilt the Jedi Enclave in KOTOR II? I guess in the light side story, Administrator Adare asked the citizens to, as a tribute to the Jedi who helped protect Khoonda, but the dark side story remains a mystery. Why would Azkul and his mercenaries bother to rebuild something that gives no profit and reminds the remaining citizens of the Exchange's enemy? Also, how did they manage to rebuild it so quickly when they couldn't even fix the Khoonda building to look more attractive? - Sikon 17:00, 2 Jul 2005 (UTC)

    • A couple of references I've tried to tie up: (1.) the old Jedi cloning facility on Dantooine in Galaxy of Fear 11, presumably at the KotOR era ruins, but reactivated by the Empire after Yavin, and, under discussion here; and (2.) the odd remark that the the NR commander in Lando's Commandos (Drayson?) makes to pulling a cloaked ship from "a museum on Dantooine"? What's the status of Tales stuff in this Wiki? --McEwok 20:00, 25 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Homeworld

Is this Kenobi's homeworld? In the Jedi Apprentice books, his homeworld was described as being a grassy planet. He also remembered a brother, Owen. (not Lars). 63.245.172.17 02:20, 24 April 2006 (UTC)

  • Unfortunatly "grassy planet" could describe any number of planets in the Star Wars universe, Naboo is largely grassy, Corellia is also pretty grassy. Then there's all the grassy planets we don't know about. That's not to say it couldn't possibly be Dantooine, just that it's impossible to say which grassy planet he came from. In other words, it's very thin conjecture. --hikari 17:36, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Rebel Base

The way the article is currently phrased the Rebel Base was established 20 years after the First Battle of Dantooine. Logicaly speaking this would actually have occured just under 4,000 years later. --hikari 19:17, 8 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Clone Wars

There was that important battle involving Mace Windu and his taking down of the seismeic tank.

Jedi Civil War

I just found this loading screen in KOTOR:TSL:

Once a wold of grasslands and steppes, the assault by the Sith during the Jedi Civil War destroyed much of the planet's surface.
  • It seems that the damage from Darth Malak's attack was more extensive that the article describes.–SentryTalk 23:54, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
    • Although in KoTOR2 it's still largely grassy. Mind you, you only get to see a tiny portion of it. --hikari 17:42, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

population difference

what is the source for the larger population figure? COul the different numbers be for different times in history? I know the smaller one is in FoC Pg, indicating it is for GCW period. also, why does the star not show up in infobox?JustinGann 00:07, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Boring?

This is one of those planets that is remeniscent of earth but doesn't have any varitaion or real beauty. Let's hope we get to see some cool shots of Dantooine in the new TV series :D Gustafar 17:52, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

  • Bah... who cares about the TV series? KOTOR III is the way to go. - Sikon 06:00, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Has it been confirmed - a new KOTOR? Unsigned comment by Gustafar (talk • contribs)
  • Sikon, your outright hatred of "The Force Unleashed" may be a bit misplaced. Have you forgotten "Shadows of the Empire" already? --School of Thrawn 101 10:21, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Forgotten? I don't know anything about it, so there's nothing to forget. - Sikon 11:46, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
  • Dantooine is not a BORING planet, in fact, it is one of my favourites (after Alderaan, Naboo, Ithor, Yavin IV and New Plympto). And can I ask if anyone knows if the planet was fully vong-formed, or just messed up a bit? Venators 02:05, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Data Spefications

  • Could someone please tell me what source has listed specifications of Dantooine such as the diameter and the distance to the Core for Yodapedia, the Dutch SW Wiki? --Sompeetalay 12:43, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
    • nav-computer.com. I don't know where they got it from. - Sikon 12:46, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Rancor?

First Appearance?

In the appearances section, it is not said which appearance is the first appearance. Does anyone know what that was? --Strobes13 17:38, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Tense use?

Why is everything in past tense on this wiki? Everything sounds like a eulogy. Dantooine was located in the blahblah sector... Unsigned comment by 24.89.46.91 (talk • contribs)

  • because everything took place "A long time ago in a Galaxy far away" <-Omicron 21:48, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Coordinates?

What coordinates would Dantooine be at using the XYZ system? Any help would be appreciated Rancor killer 19:48, September 29, 2010 (UTC)Kig

Jedi Aligned Planet

I was wondering, since there was the Enclave there, would this be considered a Jedi Aligned Planet? It seems the only criteria mentioned on the category page was to be associated with the Order, which it definitely is/was. Is there any objection to me adding that to the categories?--Crazychick08 (talk) 06:14, August 6, 2013 (UTC)
