Ta Hipan was a Pantoran merchant and smuggler who resided on the Outer Rim jungle planet Akiva[1] in 3 ABY.[2] During which they sold goods from a stall in the Market District of the city Myrra on Akiva. Their inventory included direct-energy circuits and quadanium steel as well as least one Ryloth ruffian belt which they were willing to sell in exchange for fifteen units of jarwal fiber, twenty-five units of coarseweave, and 1,250 credits. They offered discounts on their wares for members of the Pyke Syndicate and their allies.[1]
By 3 ABY[2] Hipan had learned of the approximate location of a Miyuki Trade League cache near the Witch's Finger, a rock formation in the Great Basin region of Akiva. They were willing to sell information on the cache to allies of the Pykes.[1]
