A Direct-energy circuit, was a computer circuit that was using in various technology in the galaxy including in speeders. They were used in a speeder bike's Moll K-20 power generator, its CP-0 steering system, a Diffuse-Ion accelerator and to improve its repulsorlift.[1]

In 3 ABY,[2] the Pyke merchant Jora Margal sold direct-energy circuits for 160 credits while in Mirogana the capital city of the moon Toshara. During the same year, they were sold by a human merchant Otip Ashtep in the Bestine junkyard and an Aqualish named Sopa Nandor in Mos Eisley on the planet Tatooine. They were sold on the planet Akiva by a Quarren merchant Aucta Curvak and a Pantoran Ta Hipan both in the city Myrra. The rogue Quarren merchant Shuma also sold them from her Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport[1]

Scoundrel Kay Vess used direct-energy circuits to upgrade her slicing unit during 3 ABY. She also used them to upgrade various systems on her S57 Cardinal speeder bike.[1]

Behind the scenes

Direct-energy circuits first appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws that was published by Ubisoft. In the game the circuits were used in a number of upgrades for the player's speeder bike as well as an expert upgrade in "the slicer" upgrade tree.[1]
