Coarseweave was a type of fabric that could be used to fashion clothing in the galaxy.[2]
History

By 32 BBY[3] Jedi Master Mace Windu wore a brownish gold tunic made from coarseweave. Windu continued to wear this during his time serving on the Jedi High Council including during the the First Battle of Geonosis at the start of the Clone Wars.[2] Windu wore the tunic during his attempted arrest of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine in 19 BBY.[4]
In 3 ABY,[5] a Mon Calamari merchant Jonkah Rremset sold a unit of coarseweave for sixty five credits while in Mirogana the capital city of the moon Toshara. During the same year, a human merchant Simrain Kanda sold coarseweave out of their shop in the Wonto District market in Mos Eisley on Tatooine.[1]
During 3 ABY[5] the scoundrel Kay Vess utilized coarseweave in an armored undershirt and to improve her footwear. She also used it to improve the pouches she used to store bacta vials and grenades. Vess was able to sell coarseweave during this time for 26 credits.[1]
Behind the scenes
Coarseweave first appeared though unidentified in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace released in 1999. It was later identified in the 2016 reference book Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded.[2]
In the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws it was used as a material to unlock various expert abilities such as the "armored undershirt" which increases the players health and "Scavenger's Footwear" which allowed the player to move faster while crouched.[1]
