Suria was a planet[4] located in the Suria system in the Bajic sector of the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square P-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] Appearing blue from space, Suria was orbited by the Suria space station,[3] a common locale for mercenaries, assassins,[5] and bounty hunters alike.[3] Around 18 BBY,[6] the bounty hunter Fennec Shand met the rogue clone commandos Hunter and Wrecker on the space station above Suria to negotiate a deal.[3]
Behind the scenes
Suria first appeared in "Bad Territory,"[3] the eighth episode of the third season of the animated television series Star Wars: The Bad Batch that premiered on March 20, 2024.[7] Although it was not identified in the episode itself,[3] Suria was named simultaneously in the ensuing episode guide on StarWars.com,[4] the site's Databank,[5] and within another StarWars.com article.[8] Concept art of the planet and the orbiting space station was done by artist Stephan "Stev" Carey.[9] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the Suria system was established in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[10]
The reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, New Edition,[11] which was published on March 11, 2025,[12] placed Suria in the Outer Rim Territories in grid square P-17 on a map of the galaxy[11] written by Jason Fry,[13] along the route[11] known in Legends as the Five Veils Route.[14] However, the Suria system was later moved to the Expansion Region in grid square N-16 by "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Fry.[15] The second version of the appendix, released on October 13 of that year, restored Suria's original placement in the Outer Rim.[16]

- ↑ Per the reasoning here, Season 2 of Star Wars: The Bad Batch takes place around 18 BBY. The tally marks made by Omega in The Bad Batch Season 3's first episode, "Confined," indicate the episode must take place at least twenty-one standard days following her capture as depicted in the Season 2 episode "Plan 99." According to
"Confined" Trivia Guide | Star Wars The Bad Batch on StarWars.com (backup link), Omega spends about 164 further days in captivity by the end of "Confined." As such, the events of Season 3 must begin around 18 BBY.
